Senses such as touch and smell and being back in old places can easily trigger memories so just touching the horn on can do it. Still a fun theory and this Fandom always got fun ones

One piece of evidence for this theory is a drawing of King Dana posted to Twitter where he’s removed his skull and is holding it in his hand, and underneath was just his tongue and eyeballs, no brain.

The wall carving that looks like him has four fingers and a thumb. So I think the real question we need to be asking about King is, is he gonna grow more fingers at some point?

Can't wait for the next one :) I would love for you guys to watch Gravity Falls, but I know a lot of Patrons were excited about Dragon Prince (which is also an amazing show) so it would be fair for that show to go first I suppose. I don't mind. Either of them would be great as the next western animation.
