If there's anything you've ever wanted to ask me and see it answered on video, then submit it down below! Or you can email them directly to MysticRyan@Gmail.com. I'll film the session in about 2 - 3 weeks and upload it by the end of the month!
I do have to ask though (and this is a good problem to have obviously) but try and keep it to just one question instead of multiple. And the shorter, the better. For the B-roll you use in your videos, is it just a case you have a hard drive with multiple terabytes with every possible video you could need? I've always been impressed at how you seem to have suitable B-roll available no matter what you are discussing. I've always imagined it to be a video archive where you never know when you might need to pull out this video clip for a LTPS episode 😂 if I'm correct, how do you organise this? All the best!

2024-09-19 11:52:22 +0000 UTCHi Ryan! Do you think that Sony could have anticipated the reaction to the PS5 Pro price reveal and thus have Mark Cerny spend couple of minutes addressing it? Something along the lines of “we understand this is our most expensive console to date, but these factors have affected our pricing decisions”. I don’t think people fully realise the effects of higher demand for silicon (driven by the AI race) as well as weak Japanese yen (which lost 20% in the last five years). Could Sony have done something here to educate people or would it be in vain?

Question 1: With games taking longer and longer to make and us being at least halfway through the current console cycle with a relatively light first party output, and a list of new IPs I can count on 1 hand, and basically no major announcements for future 1st party titles, do you believe Sony is building up a pipeline of games to be cross-generation launches with he PS6? I personally suspect that this what they're planning to do with games like Wolverine, the next Naughty Dog game, and at least 3 of their remaining planned live service games. I think unfortunately after that it's going to be a rinse and repeat cycle for the rest of the PS6 lifespan where after the second year we enter a long first-party drought. I don't blame Sony for this, game development is just very expensive and time-consuming. Curious to hear your thoughts on this. Question 2: With Sony being a clear console market leader for over a decade straight now it seems like they've gotten back to their PS3 era attitude of using their market dominance to try and test the upper limits of consumer's willingness to pay for their products (not just talking about the PS5 Pro). Do you think they're close to their breaking point in terms of consumer satisfaction considering how unpopular some of their recent decisions have been (Concord, PS5 Pro, mediocre showcases, etc.)?

I don't intend to come off as THAT GUY but with the PS5 pro being the price that it is would it be justifiable to put a SoC in the PS6 so that the PS enthusiast like myself wouldn't mind spending $800 to play 6 generations on one console. Do you think the lack of competition could be a miracle in disguise?

It's weird how they got rid of them from the PSN Store, but then from time to time, they offer promotional avatars, like the anniversary ones. It seems to me like they have no clear direction on how to proceed with the avatars altogether. Do you think they will drop them completely on PS6?

(Like the collection ones, testing wi-fi @ places, the random accessory vids (like the printer and the ps2 controller screen thingy), etc.) Don't get me wrong, love LTPS, but you have a good energy about you and so it's always nice to get those extras. Not to be a Debby Downer but I struggle with a lot of anxiety and depression and sometimes when I'm feeling particularly out of whack, your vids are a great comfort watch. It means a lot to me! 2nd question of these thingies: I've been keeping up with your PSN profile, because you tend to play/ enjoy similair games, as i enjoy. I noticed you don't play alot/ grind for new platinum trophies. My first guess would be, that you are very busy doing all the channel stuff. But do you have a second account, you play on, or is it just your other consoles, that you play on? And a bonus question - would you ever consider streaming some gameplay live, on twitch/ youtube, for us to enjoy?

Do you think game developers are getting lazy when it comes to making multiplayer games that kinda seem like a copy and paste? For instance… we have Fortnite (which I’ll give it the respect how’s a unique gaming experience) then we had call of duty’s warzone… then you have Overwatch… which lead to Overwatch 2 and now we had Concord.. to me I think that’s one of the biggest reasons why it failed. I think Helldivers 2 was such a unique gaming multiplayer experience that it was easily loved by gamers who love playing online even though it’s not PvP.
