Question: should we consider spy x family to replace Owl House after it ends instead of Death Note?
Added 2023-03-05 18:00:24 +0000 UTCWas talking to Montana about this because the reason I believe Spy X Family beats the other anime in the polls is because it has overlap between both our shows we watch, and since it’s more lighthearted and episodic I was wondering if you all think it should be considered HYPOTHETICALLY to replace Owl House in July rather than Death Note in May. Let me know what you all think!

I was just meaning it seemed like they were specifically going for one anime and one non anime running at a time. I just more was hoping for a return to dragon prince more than anything! Haha

I don't know how people feel about amphibia but I feel like that would have a lot of the same energy and the two shows reference each other constantly but regardless I more like the idea of the anime/western split. I'll watch whatever comes out but it's my preference

2023-03-05 19:23:20 +0000 UTCThere's a lot of good western animation to watch and so I honestly prefer the balance of one anime and one western animation show. I imagine if you wanted to flip the two and go with feel good comedy anime and more adult western show (such as legend of Vox machina or invincible), that still works well for overall balance. The fact that y'all can also only watch dub limited the anime choices as well so all anime wouldn't be as full of choice as it would for other channels,.imo.

Plus the owl House is going to be kicking into gear of not being quite as "slice of life" so adding in a slice of life to the week could be a refresher for you guys :)

It’s definitely a good match mood-wise and also selfishly I’d be so excited to watch both series on this channel again since Owl House isn’t my jam. Even still it seems like with the amount of interest in it and some other shows in the poll, it would probably be good to keep that Thursday/Sunday spot open for one of the other options
