They did really well with that effect (I'm assuming it was an effect, but I wouldn't put it past Lloyd to have an actual marionette on hand for just such an occasion. After all, he was in at least one Hitchcock movie, and probably knew to be prepared after that!)

2024-08-07 11:43:58 +0000 UTCThere was another doppelgänger episode early in season 1, The Case of Mr. Pelham. It was pretty Twilight Zonish. Which is amazing considering it came out 4 years before TZ. Were my eyes deceiving me or did I see two Norman Lloyds on the screen at the same time?

He made her husband disappear, and has the box for the 'saw in half' Alakazakm bit. And buddy Bob(?) has it made if his Marionette can mix cocktails. Now that couple has the happy ending when he chills
