That's the second time I've braced myself in the show for some horrible cliche, and then they don't do it. *phew* 😄 The first time was when Chimney's brother almost died a season or so ago. 😅

It was a storyline that really deserved a full focus and the characters hadn't been in the show for a while so it was great to see more of them again. I really like this one. As you said, the reunion was handled very maturely, which was great to see. I also love that they brought Eli back for this storyline. I've really liked his character since his first appearance in Chimney's flashback episode and he was great in this one too. I am very glad Maddie didn't walk out the moment Chimney left too as it definetely looked like that set up when I watched it for the first time. It really would have ruined the whole scene of Eli convincing Chimney to go back out there rather than just wait in front of the hospital if it turned out he would have met her if he waited just a few more seconds.
