Early Access : ARIADNE ConceptFilm to Annecy

Hi everyone!

It’s been a little while, but over the next week or two, I’m planning to post three new updates in quick succession.

First off, a bit of news.

It’s hard to believe, but my short film ARIADNE (still in progress) has been selected for the MIFA exhibition booth at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. A producer I used to work with at my old company has been kindly keeping an eye on my work, and they offered me this opportunity. I’m incredibly grateful to Nito ( https://x.com/mw_alble ) for making this happen.

That said, I obviously can’t showcase an unfinished short film—so instead, I’ll be presenting a roughly one-minute concept trailer, something like a teaser. Which brings me to today’s post: I’d like to share that unreleased footage with you all. Until now, only people directly involved have seen it.

The teaser includes several new shots. Among them is a cut featuring a drainage grate (a subtle but very important moment), and I’ve recorded the process of making it. That’ll be the focus of the next post, which will be a breakdown video.

There’s still a lot I’m not satisfied with, but this film represents where I’m at right now—honestly and fully. I’m truly thankful for the chance to have it exhibited, and above all, I’m super excited to be heading to Annecy!
