In his eventual society after winning, he plans to do this, but Mikami is moving too fast because he doesn't know about Near and Mello yet.

2023-04-23 00:06:56 +0000 UTCI think what doesn't really translate well in the show and culturally is that Light would be the American equivalent of a rich attractive guy who is a genius and top athlete. On paper aside from the whole Kira thing he's basically the ideal guy that everyone would be after. From our perspective he's a nerd with a God complex but for people like Misa and Takada he is a dream guy.

Hunters and target shooters may possess shotguns and airguns under strictly circumscribed conditions. The police even check gun licensees' ammunition inventory to make sure there are no shells or pellets unaccounted for.
