by now they already knew they where getting cancelled, or you know, having a shorter season 3, so they almost never play the full intro, rather shorten it and use every second they have for the episode. some episodes you barely get any intro so you know those are intense.

By this point I had figured everything out, but I was watching the show as it premiered so I had weeks (and even months because of the mid season hiatus after 2x10) to speculate and put every little clue together with other fans on Reddit, so the fact that Kenny got this close all on his own is really impressive!

There’s a whole fan made animatic that has Azura being a real person, Belos is her arch nemesis, and her real identity is Luz’s mom! I never saw an actual theory about the author being her mom who time traveled, but I remember a different one about Azura being Lumity’s daughter from the future (she looks like Luz but had Amity’s season 1 hair color) so I’m thinking they combined that animatic with that fan theory.

2023-05-01 21:24:42 +0000 UTCYeah, if you’re curious about the intro’s, sometimes they cut the intro if the episode needs to be a little longer, I believe Alex Hirsch (producer on this show and lead on Gravity Falls) once said that ‘If you go a second over 21 minutes, Mickey Mouse will personally smother you to death with a pillow in your sleep’ 😂

2023-05-01 15:55:33 +0000 UTCThis is one of my favorite episodes in the series! Hunter is my favorite character in the show, probably due to him being voiced by Zeno Robinson. I also think the Emerald Entrails name is referring to the second definition of entrails or, “the innermost parts of something.” There’s more to them if people look deeper. But, yes, it’s also meant to be gross. Loved the reaction! We’re in the best half of the season.
