2023-05-27 15:54:13 +0000 UTCPeople like to hate popular things. I don't think it's ever had 10/10 episodes but its always been good especially for a seasonal show and weekly manga. I think the fandom of any popular thing raise expectations and most media never lives up to high expectations so people bandwagon the other side and say it's shite.

He started off being bullied and made fun of his whole life so to receive those compliments felt out of the blue to him and that's why he looked so surprised. Is this what Midoriya needs? A good group of friends to encourage him, so he can realize what he's capable of.

Then on top of that comes to realize he's not the hot shot he's come to believe himself to be after seeing other people's amazing abilities. How do you think his attitude will be going forward? In particular after hearing dekus confession about his "borrowed power" ?
