In this episode we see Susaku charge head first towards the Super Electro-magnetic Shrapnel Cannon to hopefully save his friends even if he does in the process and Zero says "I will not tolerate a massacre of the weak by the Strong, the only ones who should kill are those prepared to be killed". What do you think about their words and actions in this episode?

Jaé-De Milton

Despite his belief that one cannot change the world without becoming a monster, Lelouch's Black Knights sell themselves as the defenders of justice and fight against japanese terrorists. Do you think that this was a morality-based decision for Lelouch or a propaganda one?

"I prefer the logic of systems to individualist emotions." - Suzaku Kururugi Quote of the Episode could be discussed. Super fun fact if you want to include these in every discussion. Lelouch Lamperouge in Japanese characters can be read as 'The Shady One of Red Light' but his last name in Japanese can be re arranged to spell 'The Emporer' and this is the alias he chooses. I love Japanese names in anime as they usually have meanings behind the characters secondary interpretation like the name Deku is derived from the Kanji (spelling) of his name Izuku and Dekunobou means one who can't do anything, quite the insult. But (Kenny) the writer says he likes this over the story to show someone with nothing can achieve anything.

Super interesting not to be read but I never thought of this so. I'm thinking it's less a if you kill you must die sort of justice more a morality like killing is icky so if you want to murder be prepared for the consequences of your actions. I really enjoyed this perspective tho ty !

Kids will think it's litty for sure hahaha

After the hostages in the building were saved, Zero and the Black Nights appear on the screen for the whole area to witness. Zero gives a brave speech, a speech that is meant as a threat to Britainnia. He said that just like the Japanese Liberation Front killed some Britainian civilians when they took them as hostages, Cloves massacred mindless innocent civilians too. He keeps repeating his famous saying " The only ones who should kill are those who are prepared to be killed". This ideology of Lelouch could be the reason why he killed Clovis and the Japanese MPs. He may see every Britainian official as someone he should kill based on this ideology because they've killed so many innocent people but what does that say about Lelouch and the Black Nights? They've killed people too. So if Lelouch really believes this ideology as he strongly claims, are he and the black nights ready to be killed themselves one day? If not he will be contradicting his own statement.

This episode made a statement that there is no good or bad side to this conflict, just perspectives. This episode made Japan out as the villain to the point that the "Black Knights" made this into an opportunity for some good publicity. What group do you side with the most so far?

SouthCoast

In this episode, Lelouch reinvents Japan's resistance group into the black knights. How do you think this image change will affect people's perception of said group moving forward. In your opinion, how are the two different?

We can surmise that Cornelia's answer to the Trolley problem is to save Euphy over multiple strangers. Is it ethical for a commander in the army to save 1 person you know over multiple people you don't know?

Did it catch you off guard that a Brittanian Royal would put herself in danger for commoners?
