Hey guys,
I've been piecing together the video clips to this project. It's Cowboys From Hell and I'm doing a promo for Donner guitars and will be giving away the guitar in the video.
The story goes, Donner contacted me. Wanted me to promote their entry level guitars and offered me a guitar. Asked me which color and I said black. When I received the guitar in the mail, it was actually green. Which I thought was really funny.
So I decided to use this guitar as a green screen.
The only thing is, after getting the video together, I wasn't satisfied with my performance in the rhythm section of the song. After listening back, I asked myself "Is this something satisfactory that the listener can jam along with?" and the answer was no.
The problem lies in the way I recorded the bass guitar. It is not tight enough. When the bass isn't tight enough and you are jamming along, you are not going to be tight enough as the guitar player either. Then the song just sounds like a train wreck. If there is no solid foundation underneath, everything is just going to crumble.
On a positive note, I am going to keep my guitar solo take. I am very satisfied with it and feel it's accurate to what Dimebag was playing. RIP Dime.
So give me another little bit. It will be worth the wait!
Thanks so much guys for your support. I'm looking forward to this!
