I have a boss me 80 and pedals so of no use. However I wouldn't mind hearing you breakdown the tone from a broad perspective

2021-10-08 11:48:26 +0000 UTCI have Bias FX but rarely use it as I could never get those sounds in my head. Having joined here, I may start using it again as per your settings to give it another whirl. Generally I use S-Gear from Scuffham amps which I love, or my own amps through a loadbox into the PC and use Speaker IR's

2021-09-23 13:57:06 +0000 UTCI couldn't really say that I have enough experience with Bias FX as I just got the Spark with very limited models, in order to get outside and out of my wife's hair while she is on teleconferences. Nobody wants to hear me practicing the latest Mr. Tabs lesson while on a business call! I am pretty satisfied with the Amplitube 5 easy to use , great selection of gear, great tones for my ear anyway. I use it primarily to record myself to improve my playing so I would not say that my ears are a standard to compare to.

2021-09-21 12:37:48 +0000 UTCI have really been able to clean up a few songs that I thought I was playing pretty good but knew I was short. Most folks don't notice, but I always knew. So thanks so much! I really appreciate just getting to it and playing. Peace.

2021-09-21 01:29:10 +0000 UTCI hear you man. There’s is an overwhelming amount of stuff out there and it can be a bit much. Thankfully I’m at a point in my life where my attitude is if it’s not broke, don’t fix it so I try not to let my constant available option overwhelm me. I know I sold a bunch of gear because I don’t play live any more and I think I will miss the tube amps and analog pedals. But I must say, I am enjoying the digital interface quite a bit. Only limitations that bug me sometimes is inability to keep sustained notes and feedback. With regards to sound quality though, I must say I’m pretty satisfied.

2021-09-21 00:17:12 +0000 UTCAwesome. How do you find Amplitube 5 in comparison to Bias FX?
Patrick Dwyer
2021-09-21 00:14:00 +0000 UTCAwesome! I’m glad it’s still of use to those who have different interfaces!

2021-09-21 00:13:06 +0000 UTCIt is definitely possible to do that! When I get some things out of the way, I might spend a little time on getting some standard tones up there that I use!

2021-09-21 00:12:25 +0000 UTCMuch better sound quality! I got way too much feedback with Deplike (not sure why), but even when I didn't, the emulation is superior in Bias FX. I bought the whole package, but for Deplike it's only $40 or so. It's quite customisable, but nowhere near the features of Bias now that I've tried both.

2021-09-21 00:11:50 +0000 UTCI know what you mean. There is definitely a way to verbalize all of that! It’s a job to stay on top of it all, for the time being the tone screenshots are there to provide a visual but I will keep your suggestion in mind!

2021-09-21 00:08:29 +0000 UTCThanks Camilo! I feel like my ears have grown for tone substantially the past year. Just from messing around with Bias FX and trying to get the tones as close as I possibly can to the records.

2021-09-20 23:55:53 +0000 UTCHi Chad. Just curious, did you find Bias FX had better sound quality than Deplike? And did you buy the whole deplike package or just have the free version?

2021-09-20 23:53:03 +0000 UTCI don't even know what Bias FX is. There is so much gear out there. I have several acoustic guitars and a few Gibson and Fender knock-offs for practice. When I gig, I play my Taylor 814CE through a TC Helicon for weddings and funerals if I have power and a Tonewood if I don't. For electric sets, my LP Standard and American Strat are played either through my pedal board or my Line 6 POD GO. Honestly, you can get gear fatigue. LOL But I dig your channel. I am never opposed to learning something new or trying something different.

2021-09-20 20:25:30 +0000 UTCI have a Spark amp with minimal Bias FX so I can find similar settings on it. I also use Amplitube 5 and use the screenshots as a guide to create tones on there or when playing through my actual pedalboard

2021-09-20 19:14:33 +0000 UTCI'm using Amplitube and i often use your tone screenshot as a guideline for adjusting a few things.

2021-09-20 14:32:01 +0000 UTCI have bias fx and use your screen shots all the time. I dont get to play that much but when i do use them. Would it be possible to upload them to the Tonecloud?

2021-09-20 14:07:42 +0000 UTCI'm really not sure how to take your screenshots and recreate them here. I have all the standard pedals here, so I don't want to invest in Bias FX or something new since I already own gear that could emulate the tone naturally. Maybe it would be more useful if you give tips on each song on which pedals to use (reverb, overdrive, delay, etc.) and which overall settings to aim for. I know pedals from different brands have different knobs, but you could say something like "aim for a moderate drive".

2021-09-20 13:39:22 +0000 UTCI am not using it but I will get it ASAP! Tone is a very important concept that we need to learn too and you are the king of tone!

2021-09-20 11:15:05 +0000 UTCI finally dropped some money on bias FX after playing around in Deplike, and there's a huge difference in quality! Bias FX is way better and your tone screenshots have helped me sound just right. Cheers!
