Song Suggestions for Next Month

Hey guys,

Asking for some suggestions on songs for next month.  I will narrow your suggestions to a poll where you can vote.

You can make a comment below with your suggestions.  If I don't choose a particular song that you like, don't feel left out.  It's either because it's lacking in community interest level or perhaps I am technically not capable of playing it in the attainable future.  Something like "Through Fire and Flames" might be a good example of this kind of thing however would be great to set a goal for 500K / 1 Mil subs special.  Not a bad idea for a really tough song.

Look forward to hearing your suggestions.  Thanks for your continued support :)

Personally, I a Tom Petty fan and love Mike Cambell. Many songs to choose from; cabin down below, Breakdown, Mary Janes Last Dance or many more. Don’t know if others would be interested but Petty is a favorite.

David Sawyer

I Believe In A Thing Called Love - The Darkness!! That would be awesome!

Wesley D Winter

Scar Tissue RHCP?

Pablo Alava

Anything by Dio is awesome. I like All the Fools Sailed Away, but you cannot go wrong with any of their work.

Brian Olson

Children of Bodom....Needled 24/7 Alexi was the best of his generation....we need this tabbed! Thnx

Raitelis

Eric Johnson - Manhattan or SRV ; Judas Priest - Painkiller, Ram it down or Hard as Iron ; Slash's snakepit-Serial killer ; Iced Earth - stormrider or travel in Stygian ; Slayer - Raining blood or Angel of death.

Amaury B

There are lessons with Alex Lifeson going through Limelight and Tom Sawyer on Youtube (also The Spirit of Radio). Search for "ivideosongs rush" on Youtube, and they should be the top results. They are in a different format than what Mr. Tabs does, but I believe he does go through the whole song (by sections), then does a performance at the end.

One way or another-Blondie, Something in the way-Nirvana, Wind of change- Scorpions

Ale Cantero

Van Halen - Dreams (yet to see a good version/tab) VH - Unchained

Justin 87

Fleetwood Mac - Isn't It Midnight?

Cant you See or Centerfold

WILLIS HAMILTON

Hendrix : Killing Floor (Live At Monterey)

Blake Johnatan

Sunshine of your love - Cream The wind cries mary - Hendrix

Arnaud Leger

Aerosmith - Dream On

Ante Ljubicic

I’d vote for Makin’ Love as it’s Ace’s best solo and is an all-round banger. Also Patrick could show his face and not show it at the same time - by wearing the spaceman makeup! It would take a long time though. Not for transcribing the song which would be easy, but to procure the costume!!

Matt Evans

Jon Bon Jovi (Jeff Beck on guitar) - justice in the barrel. Kansas - Carry on wayward son. Extreme - He-Man woman hatet (intro is the known Flight of the wounded Bumblebee) . Would even like to add an accoustic song with awesome guitar that probably no one here knows, but I'll put it anyway: Ezio - Saxon street.

Gil Wygas

Motley Crue Merry-go-round or On with the show

Ernest

Motley Crue Wild Side or Metallica Welcome Home (Sanitarium)

AndroidzGuitar

Southbound Allman Brothers

Brad Gray

Setting me up Dire Straits

Brad Gray

Highway Star….Deep Purple

Larry Morris

Van Halen Unchained

BigJMac

Lights - Journey

Adam Pennell

Def Leppard - Hysteria

Erik Sedore

Rush LImelight , Rush the Trees, Rush Tom Sawyer, Judas Priest Heading out to the highway

John Donahey

Note: No More Tears was recorded with a slide and Zakk uses it live sometimes, but can also be played without a slide.

Ivan V.

Two suggestions: No More Tears - Ozzy Osbourne Cemetery Gates - Pantera I'd love anything by Black Label Society, especially from their last album, but not sure how popular that would be...

Ivan V.

Two suggestions, Bridge of Sighs - Robin Trower, the Stumble - Peter Green

PATRICK SHORTT

Tightrope or Superstition- SRV Mountain Time - Joe Bonamassa ( any live version)

Tom Lepine

Still got the blues - Gary Moore

ian moseley

Keep the faith - Bon Jovi

Justin 87

Lonnie Mack- Mr. Tab's selection

Jerry West

Short term - Hard to Handle by The Black Crowes. This is a fun song with a solo that looks playable by intermediates. Beginners can probably also enjoy the rhythm parts. It’s accessible, popular, loads of fun to play and I assume easy for you to transcribe. A perfect Mr Tabs tune. Would get 100k+ views over time, I bet. For the long term special, if the idea is to do something really challenging then I vote for Far Beyond the Sun by Yngwie Malmsteen. It’s a classic instrumental and seems to be the most popular Malmsteen song people try to play on YouTube. As with HTH there are playthroughs already on YT but a definitive Mr Tabs version would as always become the gold standard!

Matt Evans

Yellow Ledbetter - Pearl jam The Metal - Tenacious D Welcome Home - Coheed and Cambria And my personal wish: 駆けろ - Suisei Hoshimachi

wifiguest

Tool: Forty Six & 2 or King's X: It's Love.

John Carrington

BOC - Don't fear the reaper would be nice.

Warrick Holfeld

Ozzy - No More Tears or Skid Rows - I Remember You

Andres Kwan

I'd like to make two song suggestions: 1) Theme from an Imaginary Western - the song written by Jack Bruce and made famous when Mountain played it at Woodstock and 2) Empty Rooms by Gary Moore. Both songs are excellent examples of well-crafted, melodic blues-rock songs that are great for teaching/learning intermediate-to-advanced guitar techniques. Also, I believe that you would have lots of fun learning and playing them as well as using them as teaching tools for us, your patrons.

Charles Newby

If you’re looking something a bit more recent, L’Vida L’Viaquez by The Mars Volta is fantastic. Two guitar solos by John Frusciante, a handful of a bizarre guitar parts by Omar Lopez, some electric piano that I think could be transcribed for guitar…

Mike Burkman

Ozzy - No More Tears or anything from Skid Row

Anthony B

Yankee Rose - David Lee Roth

Joshua Meek

Witch's Spell from the new album by AC/DC

Boris

En Justice for All by Metallica

James Santos

Skynyrd Call Me the Breeze or That Smell or Simple Man

Lefty Mike

Burnin' For You- Blue Oyster Cult

Richard Gomez

Blue Oyster Cult - Burnin' for You!

RandyR

For The Love of God

Esteban Ruiz

The Bug — Dire Straits please!

Bob Reynolds

I’d love to see more Black Sabbath, maybe something like Into The Void or N.I.B

TheLmeister

Brothers in arms by dire Straits please

Levicorpus394

I think you've only done CFH from Pantera.

Travis

Any intermediate song (insofar as you can choose) by Metallica, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, or Pantera will do!!

Travis

Robin Trower's Daydream would be outstanding.

rcbowser

I would love for you to do a Kiss song. Something like Danger, or Strutter maybe?

Joshua Meek
