It's a Long Way to The Top - If You Want to Rock N Roll

Jason nailed this one, and rocked some great wardrobe changes!

Here's some quick notes from him:

This is a fun song that was brought into the spotlight and popularized by a movie that I’m sure we’ve all watched. There were no live performance videos (other than the music video and a performance where they seem to be playing over the studio track) so I went by these for positioning. I love how the hard driving riffs in this one. I tried to play a real bagpipe but I quickly realized I couldn’t.

Amplitube tones below, including a Bagpipe tone! 😂

Found the fix! The icon to the right of the find gear box was set to default. So it wouldn’t show me presets with any gear I don’t own. I didn’t have the noisegate in the chain so it wouldn’t show me and once I toggled that off it’s right where you said! Thank you Patrick!

Hey Patrick thanks for the reply! That is the path I am taking and when clicking the current preset I do see the drop down menu where it gives me choices of amplitude 5, CS, MAX, collections, custom shop and legacy but don’t see the preset there or within each of those submenus. I’ve gotta be so close! Haha do you drop the downloaded preset into a specific folder like those above or just into the first submenu of “presets”?

Dustin Davis

Hey Dustin, Patrick here. Thanks for reaching out. You can save the above files to the directories: Documents - IK Multimedia - Amplitube 5 - Presets (I actually just noticed you mentioned you did that). When you open Amplitube, you can click on where it gives you the name of the tone that's opened within that software. And a submenu will appear. The tones should then appear in that submenu. Let me know if you have any issues. Happy to help!

So awesome you include the tones for us thank you! So far I haven’t been able to find them in amplitude 5. I’m downloading your file, and copying it into IK Multimedia Presets folder in documents on a Mac. It’s verified to be in there but then I don’t see it populate in Amplitube 5. Any suggestions? Once this starts working it’s going to be the greatest thing ever! 🤘
