question: the term geass
Added 2023-06-05 16:00:27 +0000 UTCCan I call what Lelouch does the "Geass"? Like a counter titled "Lelouch tests the Geass" wouldn't be a spoiler right? I'm trying to figure out what to call it for Thursdays youtube video!

While it us most commonly referred to by "Geass", the addition of "the", especially under the context you provided, would work totally fine. I know the internet can be anal, but please, feel free to phrase things as they make sense to you!

2023-06-07 16:50:18 +0000 UTCYou use geass but you dont use The geass

2023-06-07 00:00:32 +0000 UTCdo not think so it is in the title after all

2023-06-06 17:49:05 +0000 UTCi don't think its a spoiler. it gets name dropped preety early on in the show and is part of the name

2023-06-06 16:40:55 +0000 UTCIf you really are worried about spoilers for the title then I'd just name it "Lelouch tries out his new power" I think episode 1 already said "The power of the king" if you wanna go there as well.

2023-06-06 12:26:42 +0000 UTCI just finished watching vinland saga episode 22 of the 2nd season and I'll be advocating for it like crazy once Code Geass is completed. I didn't think I was going to love it and praise it so much. I can say without a doubt it's going to be considered the greatest anime ever after it's concluded and in time when more people watch it and get to know about it. The only thing holding it back is that it's not popular enough. It's definitely going to surpass AOT, FMAB, and Death Note in about 5 to 6 years time when it gets more popular. I have hope cause Netflix is managing season 2 and the Netflix dub is extremely good. I hope there are a decent number of Vinland Saga fans here on Patreon. Let's make it win the next anime poll. I highly recommend everyone here to watch it and complete season 2. Season one was Alright but season 2 is a storytelling masterpiece with the greatest character development I've ever seen in any show not just anime

2023-06-06 09:25:40 +0000 UTCGeass counters, intelligence counters, chess counters, simp counters, philosophy counters since Lelouch says mantras like " you can't change the world without getting your hands dirty, or if the king doesn't lead how can he expect his subordinates to follow or those who should kill are the ones who are prepared to be killed". Since Lelouch promised Nunally that he wouldn't lie to her so if he lies you can put a lying counter. you could also put a racist counter for Brittainia, A realist counter for Suzaku, and even a counter for Zero, when he performs a miracle like Lelouch, performs a miracle counter 1,2, and so on. There are so many creative counters you could put for this show

2023-06-05 23:26:09 +0000 UTCI think you can. The geass is introduced in Episode 1 and I think also present in the trailer

2023-06-05 20:33:58 +0000 UTCWhen is new episode for code geass?

2023-06-05 20:20:14 +0000 UTCYou know it would be interesting to count how many times the show references King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. For example: 1. Lancelot.

2023-06-05 19:22:23 +0000 UTCPeople usually "his geass" as in "his power" or just geass. "The geass" feels wrong but it's more a grammar thing. I'd go with "his geass" or "his geass power" or "uses geass" or just use geass as a verb instead

2023-06-05 17:28:44 +0000 UTCI think 'Lelouch Uses Geass counter' or 'Lelouch Geass Counter' would sound better. But Otherwise, I don't think its a spoiler since the name is revealed so early. I think it would be fine.

2023-06-05 16:49:02 +0000 UTCGeassing or Geassed is the terminology in the show, but you should also have a Gaslight counter because... Lelouch is toxic with that 🤣🤣🤣
Æther Paradox
2023-06-05 16:40:53 +0000 UTCI think that would be fine. It's in the name of the series, and 'geas' is a perfectly valid english word that 'geass' is derived from.
Valdinia
2023-06-05 16:40:28 +0000 UTCIt'll be fine. Lelouch tests Geass would be a better way to word it though.
Dorian Love
2023-06-05 16:38:29 +0000 UTCIt's not a spoiler. It's in the name of the series. It's a thing he possesses.
Zyrus
2023-06-05 16:38:01 +0000 UTCNot a spoiler but calling it the geass seems wrong like an object. lelouch tests geass looks better
monkeyman
2023-06-05 16:26:28 +0000 UTCI dont think its a spoiler but if you don't want to use it I think "The Power" would be a good replacement term since that's what Lelouch calls it
Ral Zarek
2023-06-05 16:11:42 +0000 UTCGeass is actually just a different way to spell Geas (a spell in Dungeons and Dragons that does exactly what it does in the show) so really its not like new information so you should be fine to post that
Burgandy the Red
2023-06-05 16:09:47 +0000 UTCI don't see a problem with it. It's called the Geass. If it's a spoiler it's just for episode 1.
Bradley Hall
2023-06-05 16:07:53 +0000 UTCYes! I don't think it would be a spoiler.

2023-06-05 16:07:42 +0000 UTCI mean it’s in the name of the show

2023-06-05 16:06:29 +0000 UTCUntil the word 'geass' is said, I would recommend using 'gift' or 'ability' or something similar.
