Update on Version stuff

This last Friday was like the 80th Friday in a row where we weren’t able to deliver more stuff from our public access/Version episode vault. We have episodes with commentary and other bonus material ready to be released, but we’ve been getting bizarre feedback from the Vimeo team (Patreon uses Vimeo as their own built-in video service). We were told we were violating something with our massive video file sizes and that we were getting too many views (how many times did you guys watch these episodes?! Come on!!!). Anyway, we’ve tried to get more info, but the team has not responded to anything and we don’t really know what’s up. It is honestly like they vanished Leftovers-style. So, we’re gonna try a couple more things and if that doesn’t work, we’ll find another way to deliver all this stuff to you VERY SOON.
Hope that’s okay- new Friendimension coming a little later and Movie Club with GREMLINS after that! And at some point we’ll be putting up an awesome little behind the scenes nugget that I just found on an old ass memory card... anyone remember when Garrett made someone’s arm out of pizza?! Yeah, I didn’t either.

I'm curious how much the Unlisted Youtube videos are shared around to non-subscribers, it could be an anti-piracy measure (or a bigger subscription incentive) just for the Version episodes.

2020-09-06 19:17:30 +0000 UTCI hate to be that guy, and I know y’all have your reasons, but I would love if the version stuff was uploaded to YouTube as unlisted like you do for the other patreon content. It allows for much more flexibility. I can download episodes with YouTube premium and watch them on the train, I can chromecast to my tv, etc. Like I said, I bet you have your reasons, but just some feedback.

2020-09-06 14:38:52 +0000 UTCCan I make a suggestion? Google photos has unlimited storage if you choose the High quality setting (1080p) and videos can be viewed on mobile and most devices as the interface is the same as YouTube.
