MEGA64 VERSION 3 Episode 1, "Frankie"

Mega64 Version 3, Episode 01: "Frankie" 2006 (Episode produced in 2006, released on DVD in 2010 (Mega64: Version 3).

Written/Directed by Derrick Acosta, Rocco Botte, Shawn Chatfield

Picking up where the story immediately left off, Dr. Poque and the other apartment dwellers suddenly face a terrifying monster. A mighty hunter appears from the shadows and offers insight on the origins of the creature... origins that begin in the Mega64's past... covered in feces. Can the demon be defeated before it's too late?

PRODUCTION NOTES:

-Frankie's human form is played by Mystery Science Theater 3000 star Michael J. Nelson in what many consider to be Mega64's most wasted cameo.

-The Dead Rising skit was shown for the first time at Anime Los Angeles in January 2007. It was uploaded to YouTube shortly after and was featured on the front page of the website.

-The episode was originally not going to ever address the Frankie attack at the end of Version 2, but after watching Snakes On A Plane together, the three dudes thought it would be more fun to see the apartment crew take on a wild creature and committed to the bit.

-Scott Kelso (Ted Geisel) is a family friend of Rocco's family and had never acted before or since this "moving" role.

NEXT TIME: The Mega64 apartment is getting a lot of attention... for all the wrong reasons. When a giant craft carrying a terrible message is parked outside, it's a furious race to get it gone before it's noticed... and the worst person already has. To make matters even worse... we witness the birth of the first all-male gaming league, SEXY64! Tune in for next week's episode release, Version 3 Episode 2: Bigger Boat!

Mega64 are truly the sauce of the internet. Other things in the fridge of the internet will come and go. Mega64 will always be there.

Man, Dead Rising was the first Mega64 skit I saw and I've been along for the ride since then. Shouts out to Frankie for making it all happen.
