As the Mega64 crew continued production on their first public access season, they were in desperate need of more skits and sketches to fill each 28.5 minute (by mandate) episode. On one morning, they popped in to use the blue screen at a local college campus to film several segments at once (for things like the opening theme song, a fake news segment, and more). With a little time left over, and having just recently seen the Jimmy Stewart classic "Mr. Smith Goes To Washington," AND being awash in that summer's hype over the brand new Matrix sequels... it was a logical move to create a time-sucking segment that combined it all together. At least, logical until we saw it in the editing room (AKA Rocco's bedroom). This was the segment that made everyone realize that bits designed specifically to suck up time just weren't going to cut it- even on public access. It was cut quickly from ever being shown on TV, and because of music issues, never made it to DVD either (back when hard drive space came at a premium, only one copy of the video was saved with The Matrix Reloaded's score permanently added to it). It was shown to a very small amount of people via files on Mega64's old message board, but at last it can be enjoyed by the masses in this STUNNING green-stained 4K restoration.
