Additionally, the film must be shown at least three times on each day of its qualifying run, with at least one of the daily showings starting between 6 pm and 10 pm local time.

2022-11-17 22:27:23 +0000 UTCI was in high school when White and Nerdy came out and that song couldn’t be escaped for weeks and weeks. (Didn’t it hold some sort of record at the time for being #1 on ITunes?) Which was fine as a Weird Al fan, but I’d argue that was his peak “mainstream.” Or when he won the Grammy. I think a key aspect to Weird Al’s charm and likability is his underdog persona. Even though I think he is mainstream, he feels like an underdog. UHF is entirely an underdog story. In this movie he’s top dog from very early on. Which I know is the whole inverting expectations thing, but you lose that signature element to Yankovic’s persona & the Weird Al movie ends up missing Weird Al. So two shakers might seem low because it is a pretty funny & entertaining movie, but it’s not a very good movie about Weird Al (in my opinion). Also, putting my money down that Train to Busan will make Shawn emotional.
