I had a cool idea a year ago to make a series dedicated to Boondocks' history, and I was planning on going through year by year and discussing the issues The Boondocks tackled while on that journey.
While that hasn't ended up happening, the Rebooting Boondocks video, alongside Operation Black Steel: Black Identity kind of filled that void. I still intend to loosely reference my love for the comic strip in the future, but I don't feel the need to talk about it as directly anymore now. That's kind of out of my system.
The original comic strip is cool, and having read them all, I still have a great appreciation for them. But I don't necessarily think that its the best direction for the channel or myself to keep talking about them. I do get that people love the strip though, and hearing about it.
Hopefully, they'll learn more The Right to be Hostile.
Episode Com coming tomorrow or the day after. Currently working on Free Huey and Ace Attorney stuff. For the sake of balance, I'm trying to employ this whole 'back n' forth' between both brands of content.
Not only because distance builds my passion, but cause' I think its healthy. I don't want to burn out on Boondocks like I did with Ace Attorney years ago. You'd be surprised how easy it is to get sick of seeing the things you love, when you're constantly surrounded by it. Space is healthy in any relationship. So, that's what I try to do.
Ramble over. Take care.
