In the words of Akala: "I don't think aspiring to be materially comfortable make you a capitalist, but it's about what you're willing to do."

The whole mindframe that one simply seeking material comfort in, say, a home to sleep, good food to eat and being able to provide for your kids isn't an issue to me. It's this narrative that we need 4 Bentleys, Indoor Swimming Pools, a giant mansion that I contend with. This notion that a man with 50 million, needs 50 million more.

That is, in my opinion, a sickness.

Just as we'd view a man with a house/table filled to the brim with food, cakes, pizzas and all this stuff in excess, and we'd look at that individual and say: "Alright, you need help." It isn't the same way we look at wealth and our love for materialism. And, I find that whole concept fascinating.

I think a lot of the billionaires we see today are in need of help.

Success is not how much wealth you've acquired or passed down to your children. It's how your legacy lives on. You look at people like X and King, and man... we're still talking about them. Not even years, decades later.

What do you think that says?

I think selflessness is the true merit to success and how you'll be remembered. What did you give back? Yeah, you were comfy, but how did you share your comfort with others? What did you do with your power and influence to help?

Just some radical ramblings~
