It's okay if you take a much deserved week off! We'll forgive you! Also, I don't like most country music but I LOVE your next album.

The title track on this album is the GOAT. It's the punk rock stairway to heaven.

This album ruled, I loved the jangly piercing guitar. I think I’ve mentioned the Rhino compilation No Thanks! before, it has a lot of great 70s punk tunes, including See No Evil by Television, X and a couple Richard Hell tracks - among 90-some others lol. It’s a wonderful primer for anyone wanting to dip their toe in classic punk. See No Evil, Venus, Friction, Marquee Moon and Prove It were my faves. Eapecially Prove It and Marquee Moon!! Check out ‘Little Johnny Jewel,’ as well. A handy mnemonic for remembering CBGB’s is Country, Bluegrass and Blues if it’ll help! What else has everyone been listening to lately? I’ve been checking out Fanny, they’re one of the first all-female rock groups signed to a major label. They’re pretty kick-ass! PS: would love to see Johnny on here sometime!

One of my favorite albums you've covered on the show so far! I love this one. I read a book all about the NY punk scene and this is one of the best records I found out about in it (Please Kill Me is the book). I love how much this album proves that "punk" was more about a mindset of DIY creativity than sounding like what the stereotype of punk was. This came out only one year after Ramones' first record. Lot of different styles of music were a part of that scene. Talking Heads first album was the same year, from the same scene. Maybe my favorite single period of music.

I never really got the hype for this record and even after listening to it a bunch this week, it still doesn’t do too much for me. I did however really love the piercing guitars on Friction and Marquee Moon but other than that, nothing really stood out too much for me. 2.5 vinyls for me

Amazing album, very definitive of the late 70s shift away from classic rock. Certainly has a style all of it's own. Shouts out to the comic shop that was selling this album for $250 that then dropped the price to $49 just because I asked about it.

This one was a favorite of mine for a long time. RIP Tom Verlaine

I was upset that the first time I listened to this album, it had no effect on me. I've had it recommended to me for a decade and while it felt like an album made for me, I was always nervous to check it out. What if I hated it? Well, worse. I just didn't care about it. but I decided to do something I've never done before, listen until something clicked and I began to love it. I can't believe it actually worked! I'm so thrilled we got this album for Record Club this last week. Perfect timing when I needed it. 🖤 See No Evil and Prove It are bangers but the title track is fucking stellar. Every track gets better the more time I spend with it, in fact. 💿💿💿💿+/𝟓
