We were finally compelled by the power of cinema to sit down and see THE EXORCIST from 1973. For two of us, it's our first time seeing it- luckily we've got long time exorcism film expert Garrett to join us for this episode! Grab some pea soup and sit a spell for this special lengthy discussion on the Exorcist legacy.

2023-10-19 12:24:22 +0000 UTCWe are so sorry how completely out of focus the camera is some of these episodes- it does not look that way in ANY OF OUR EQUIPMENT when we set it all up (multiple GROWN ADULTS checking it multiple times just in case), but the final recording is different and we have no clue why it keeps happening. Will continue to troubleshoot! Hopefully y'all can still enjoy this one! UGH!!

2023-10-18 21:59:37 +0000 UTCI'm seeing both The Exorcist and The Lost Boys in theaters next week, what a great treat. Also speaking of Friedkin; 1977's Sorcerer would be a great pick for Movie Club. It heavily inspired Jurassic Park and is one of the most suspenseful movies I've ever seen.

2023-10-17 20:01:28 +0000 UTCI watched Scary Movie 2 on cable a ton back in the day, when I finally saw the Exorcist years later I was blown away by the accuracy in the opening scene. I’m not saying those are great movies but a little care went into them at least. If you didn’t check out that original trailer, it’s deff worth watching. I saw it at a midnight retro movie showing like 15 years ago and it really was nauseating with the music and the flashing faces. It’s stuck with me all this time. Can’t wait for the Lost Boys! That’s a sentimental favorite - I remember when I realized Max was the Dodge car commercial guy.
