As someone who's born and raised from Wichita Kansas, I cannot begin to describe the level of excitement people have about our city being in a song. When my first band played it live as a cover, people popped off like crazy just for "I'm going to Wichita", lol. "Open Up The Border" by Clutch elicits a similar feeling for me, but that's because the band has a much more personal relationship with the city. As someone who loves music, this is one of my most favorite things you guys have done!

Even a 30 minute announcement can help people decide to stay home to watch a live stream vs going out and missing out. I get there's notifications, but their so easy to miss or some aren't always hanging around their computers

This is by far my fav white stripes album and honestly one of my favorite all time albums ever. Y’all don’t usually talk about the engineer and fidelity of the album, but my god this thing is not only amazing song writing but the mixing, mastering, engineering of it all is so beautiful and perfect. Meg’s drum hit you so hard, jacks guitars rumble everything when they need to but have such a delicate light sound on something less rock. 50 pieces of vinyl out of 5 for me, this is an all timer.

2025-01-09 20:28:37 +0000 UTCElephant was an album I got shortly after it came out and over the years I’ve come to appreciate more and more of it. The Air Near My Fingers is easily my favorite track now, my favorite back then was Little Acorns. I’ve always loved the Burt Bacharach cover, Hypnotize and Medicine, as well. I’ve really grown to love the closing track, too. I mean, I always liked it but now that I recognize it’s like a The Mamas and the Papas/Sonny and Cher type thing it’s more than ‘just a silly song.’ Next week’s album seems like a Jennie episode. Regardless, I’m looking forward to whoever you end up bringing on!

You guys put me on to “No Name” and I really liked it. “Rough on Rats” was one of my favorite songs last year.
