Bolt Up, Bosa Up (Epilogue)

The series finally comes to an end! I really hope you've all had as much fun reading it as I have while writing it. A massive shoutout to Nate / Soul-Controller who has helped beta read and offer notes on each of the nine entries to this series. It wouldn't be at the same quality it is without him! A PDF with the full story will be following shortly but for now, enjoy this epilogue that ties everything up in a neat little bow...

It was the morning after Super Bowl Sunday and Robin Cassler woke up feeling unsure if he had ever been more hungover in his life. That’s what you get for partying with frat boys, he chided himself, although there was already a smile blossoming upon his face.

The previous night’s viewing party had been the most fun he’d ever had celebrating the “big game”, which was saying something considering for the past six years, he’d been partying alongside other NFL players. This event had been on a whole other level in Robin’s eyes, especially since the best part of it was that his boyfriend always remained in close proximity throughout the entire night. His relationship with Porter had only been going for a few months and yet he already felt closer to the college jock than he had to any of the girlfriends he’d had back in his previous life as Joey Bosa. It’s a crazy world we live in!

If Robin’s time with Porter felt like it had flown by, then the five months since he’d been forcibly body swapped had progressed at breakneck speed. The anger, confusion and humiliation he’d felt on that very first night were such distant memories that it was almost as if they had never even happened. Robin hadn’t just accepted the face that greeted him in the mirror every morning since that day, he’d learned to love it. Porter had never shied away from telling him that he thought he was beautiful and before long Robin had stopped trying to find fault with what the other man said. He was beautiful and there was absolutely no shame in celebrating that, especially when he was dating the most aesthetically pleasing man in the state!

After shuffling out from underneath the slumbering Porter’s arm, which had been wrapped protectively around him, Robin helped himself to a pair of his boyfriend’s gym shorts. The garment could be considered rather skimpy when being worn by Porter, thanks to the quarterback’s beefy quads and prominent ass, but they were a much looser fit on Robin’s skinnier lower half. Still, he liked wearing his boyfriend’s clothes. It made him feel loved. Then, once he was certain that the college quarterback wouldn’t be waking any time soon, the smaller man crept out of the room before making his eventual exit out of the residence. Robin liked to start his days with a walk under the morning sun, with the fresh Arizona breeze making cool contact with his skin. That morning’s walk took Robin all the way out into the hills on the outskirts of the city where he was truly able to appreciate the clear blue skies above him and the absolutely blessed life he had been living for the past few months.

While on his walk, Robin reflected upon the wild ride he’d been on over the last six months. From bickering with the new LA Chargers coach to escaping bullies on a college campus and eventually being the quarterback’s boyfriend. It was a journey that he had never foreseen, but it was one that he was glad he’d been on. He felt so free, having escaped the pressures that came with being a highly paid NFL player, and this new lease of life also came with a more open minded perspective too. Just a week ago, Robin had even attended a protest march in response to a newly proposed bill that would allow for businesses to discriminate against gay customers. That was precisely the kind of thing he would have turned his nose up at had he continued living life as Joey Bosa; now it was an integral part of his identity and Robin was proud of himself for standing up for himself and his community.

Now that the college football season had properly started, Robin had the pleasure of watching his gorgeous boyfriend guide his team towards five consecutive wins to start the season. Porter was making plays like he was an NFL veteran rather than a college player, so it was no shock in Robin’s mind that the hunky quarterback was already beginning to garner notice among scouts for the following year’s draft. To make things even better, Max had been suspended from the team due to his bullying ways, and the second string tight end was actually playing much better than Robin’s former bully had!

He wasn’t only cheering Porter on from a prime spot on the bleachers though, as he had also kept to his word and dressed in a female cheerleaders uniform to celebrate each win. The costume was only ever worn behind closed doors as it was purely for Porter’s pleasure, but truthfully Robin had quickly grown to enjoy wearing a skirt. It definitely helped that the garment gave Porter such easy access to both Robin’s perky ass and relentlessly rock-hard cock. The sex they had whenever Robin was roleplaying as a cheerleader was some of the best they’d ever had, so much so that he was contemplating suggesting that they take their roleplaying adventures further. Maybe there was some fun to be had by playing doctor and nurse?

Robin had become so fixated on the progression of Porter’s football season that he had almost completely stopped paying attention to the NFL playoffs. They were easily of secondary importance from his new perspective as he no longer held any sort of stake in the eventual outcome, but deep down he knew that he’d never be able to shake that attachment entirely. Although his days as a Charger already felt like they were years in the past, Robin was still sympathetic to learn that the Los Angeles Chargers had experienced a heartbreaking loss in the semi-finals and thus failed to progress onto the Super Bowl. This heartbreak was only furthered when Robin watched back the highlights of the game and saw how hard their star outside linebacker Joey Bosa and stud quarterback Justin Herbert had tried to manifest a positive result. He felt especially sympathetic for the man who had replaced him as Joey Bosa, as everything he had learned about Robin Cassler from his time in the college student’s skin suggested that football was at the very core of his being. It sucked that hard work didn’t always come with a satisfying payoff at the end of the journey, but such disappointments were always going to be unavoidable in a team sport.

It wasn’t as if Joey had done badly for himself though, as he had broken his previous records for sacks and tackles and had even returned an interception for the first touchdown of his NFL career! These achievements had unsurprisingly led to Joey Bosa being named the league’s defensive player of the year, something that Robin had never achieved in his six years of playing professionally. He didn’t hold it against the other man at all though, in fact he was reassured by the fact that his legacy was not only being upheld but actively improved upon. Joey had even outperformed Nick, something Robin knew would greatly irritate his former brother - especially if the new Joey was anything like the old one had been and was mercilessly teasing the younger Bosa about that fact!

When Robin arrived back at his dorm, he was surprised to find an individual leaning against the wall outside of his dorm room. As the unexpected arrival tilted his head upwards and revealed himself, Robin’s look of  surprise turned into one of pure disbelief. “Coach Addison?” he exclaimed, immediately overwhelmed by feelings of bewilderment and curiosity. Of all the people from his old life to possibly cross his path, the coach he had so dramatically feuded with hadn’t exactly been near the top of his list. “What are you doing here?”

“This isn’t a conversation to have where anyone could overhear us,” the NFL coach declared in his usual gruff voice. “Let’s talk in your dorm.” As always with Coach Addison, it wasn’t a request but rather an order. Once upon a time, the former Joey Bosa would have bristled at being ordered around by Addison in particular, but he had become much more amicable over the past several months. After the pair were in the more private environment of the dorm room and Robin had locked the door behind them to make sure they wouldn’t be interrupted, the college student discovered that his heartbeat had become more intense. He was nervous, although he wasn’t quite sure why. “So, uh… what did you want to talk about?”

“We just had one hell of a season,” Addison began, folding his arms over his chest and locking his steely gaze upon the smaller man’s face. “Nobody knew a damn thing about what I did to you and Joey. Sorry, you and Robin, although what’s the difference these days? He’s definitely settled in that skin and something tells me that you’ve made yourself comfortable here too. Is that right?” Without thinking twice, Robin nodded and the coach let out a gruff chuckle. “You still watching that cartoon shit, hmm?”

“You’re really still hung up on that?” Robin actually surprised himself with the question that he’d fired back, but he wasn’t about to back down. “Yeah, I’m still watching anime, and yes I’ve made myself comfortable. But before you try to take credit for that, that’s despite you rather than because of you!”

The corners of the coach’s lips turned up into a small smirk. “I guess you’ve still got some of that Joey Bosa fire in you, huh?” he remarked, moving his hands down to his hips and glancing around the room. “Look, kid, I’m only here because I’m a man of my word. I never intended for this ‘situation’ to go on forever, even if I think the new Joey’s an improvement over you. I’m not the evil mastermind you probably want to think of me as! You desperately needed a reality check and forcing you to spend a season on the sidelines - without actually having to give up what your talent brings to the team - was the best way of giving you it.” The coach huffed angrily and shook his head. “So, do you think you’re ready to agree to my terms, give up the distractions and come back to LA? Go back to playing in the NFL and being Joey friggin’ Bosa? The kid’s done wonders for your reputation this season, but I’m sure you’ve been following, haven’t you?”

This is it, the moment you’ve been waiting for! He finally had the opportunity to step back into Joey Bosa’s cleats and reclaim the life that was rightfully his - and yet… the desire to go back was simply gone. He truly was settled in his new life as Robin Cassler, with his awesome boyfriend and aspirations of becoming an animator after graduating from college. This new path that had been made available to him just seemed so much more fulfilling to him than going back to being a conservative straight dude who would probably be dealing with various injuries and ailments for the rest of his life. This sudden discovery was definitely a surprise but it overall wasn’t a totally unwelcome one. It came with a blissful acceptance that all but forced a smile onto Robin’s face.

“No thanks, Mr Addison,” he declared, satisfied that he would never have to refer to the other man as ‘Coach’ again. “I think I’ll take my chances with the anime. You can keep the new Joey Bosa, who I’m sure you’ll be much happier with.” The older man’s smug expression dropped into visible surprise, prompting a smile to spread across Robin’s own face. Addison was right, there really was some of the old ‘Joey Bosa’ fire left in him, although it was delivered in a much lighter tone: “I wish him the best of luck for next season though - with you breathing down his neck, I know he’s gonna need it!”

“Do you hear yourself?” the coach growled, his brow furrowed and his face flushing red. It was an intimidating visual but one that would no longer work on Robin.

“Oh, I hear myself loud and clear, Keith,” Robin confirmed. He smiled sweetly up at the man, enjoying the realization that in trying to punish him, Addison had unwittingly introduced him to a way of life that he would ultimately find more fulfilling. In the present moment though, he was particularly enjoying how irate his former coach had become - the poor guy clearly wasn’t used to losing and he’d now taken two major losses within just a few weeks of each other! “Now, if you don’t mind, you know where the door is. I’d hate to have to call campus security and tell them I’m being harassed by some creepy middle-aged man. I think my boyfriend would have something to say about that too…”

Addison exited Robin’s life with a slam of the door. The college student sighed in relief and was delighted to discover that an unseen weight had finally been lifted from his shoulders. The final tie to his old life had been severed and now there was nothing to stop him from living his best life as the twinky boyfriend of a future NFL quarterback!
