Looking Ahead...

Hello fellow cultists,

as you know, earlier this month we reached 100 Patrons. So this month's mailing will be the final "single Leaf" mailing. 008 will go out on December 5th, and then we will start the new year with Leaves 009-010 on January 5th, Leaves 011-012 on February 5th, etc.

Back orders will follow the same pricing as patrons have been paying so far, so all Leaves from 001 through 008 will cost $12/$15, and then moving forward they will be halved (or sold in pairs). This seems like the best way to be fair to both new and old Patrons alike!

A couple quick notes on the process of doubling my output. A full page of text without woodcuts or diagrams averages about 550 words. As long as I produce two pages of text (1,100 words) a week, I will consistently generate the number of Leaves needed to maintain my buffer. This is far less daunting than saying "I need to write 750 more pages of Elizabethan text!"

I also need to age around ten Leaves a day to keep on track, which takes around an hour. I really enjoy the process and feel it adds character to each individual page, so doing them in small batches keeps the process from becoming tedious.

Thanks again for all your support and comments, I really value the input!

Yes indeed, this is a mighty fine list! I'm always on the lookout for more vocabulary to help sell the authenticity of the text and I'm seeing some great new words here. Thanks!

Had to make sure. We don't want those fingers ground to the bone. I would be surprised if Oakree K., the curator of Propnomicon wasn't a Patron but in any event, advertising on his Blog would be 'Innsmouth Gold for the smelter'. I have seen propmakers get huge gains from site. And if you are in the mood to collaborate a al the old gent, then you could do worse than the boys at HPLS. There is my fellow PVD friend and artist Gage Prentiss who brought to life, the Shining Trapezohedron and it's obscene box to the tune of only ten scant pieces scattered across the world (for realz). Leman used his art in the CD cover of 'The Haunter...' and on and on, I'm sure you want your account cluttered with my ramblings. Please email me if you want to hear many many more. Oh, one last thing. I find the aging of the pages to be most excellent. Too much and you hit 'goofy' and cartoonish but you have hit the sweet spot, I believe. Keep up the goode VVork.
