There were THREE Marie Antoinette’s on the runway, Kori King wore a Monet X Change costume, and Lana started her talent with a big poster of Luxx. Suzie, Lexi, and Lucky, however, are very unique and I love that.

While, the Badonka Dunk seems reminiscent of the whole "Is it Chocolate?" debaucle (insert silly sound effect here) it does have a bit more going for it. While I wasn't really happy to see Harmona Lisa stay, I was happy to watch Little Michelle fall into that dunk tank. I mean, I love her, but I laughed pretty hard watching her tiny little body fall all that way. Like why is this happening?? And why did they make it so high up?! Most dunk tanks aren't that huge! Right?? I mean it felt giant to me! And like how did they keep that secret from the queens? Like how did the production hide that thing from them during the runways and talent show? All these elements make the whole thing far more entertaining and intriguing than "Is it Chocolate?" (Insert silly sound effect again) Love ya ladies (x2)

And I loooved how effortless and effervescent her talent was even though she was literally flipping around ON SKATES. Gene Kelly would be proud ... I hope. I don't know if Gene was an ally but I sure hope so. Because, damn, was he sexy. AnyADHDway ... I also really enjoyed Onya Nerve's talent performance. The song was catchy and she is adorable. I may be biased because I'm from Ohio snd lived in Cleveland in college. I do wish she could get over this idea that no one likes her or wants to be her friend. I hope she never loses it. Kori is hilarious. I can't imagine the rest of the girls are not seething over Hormona's save. I love Jewels. And Toot. And Lana too. And Onya. I really love a lot of them this season. I've also gone overboard on listening to other queens' reviews this season as well and it's a party. Trinity and Shontelle's reviews and their takes are very interesting given their insight and connections to multiple girls. Bob and Monet's takes are hilarious as always. Ditto Alaska and Willam. But my heart remains here as always.

What's your take on Lana saying she is an adult and open to criticism but then seems perturbed when Joella told her she didn't think her talent wasn't all that great. Is Joella being a sister, or is Lana taking things too personally? IMO, the way you react to things depends on the day. I may be really confident and open to hearing criticism, but other days, I could be a bit emotional and take things beyond the intention.

That or the edit for this episode made me feel like they were just background characters... - I don't think Hormona Lisa was ready for TV. They're trying to make her have a storyline but I feel like we're getting nooch in terms of star quality - Lexi is a star, and if she's old, I'm ancient - Crystal has a beautiful face but her fashion so far has been unforgivable - Fantastic winning lipsync between Crystal and Lexi that made up for last episode's -I'm think I might get sick of Kori referencing Monet. Also, I thought Onya Nurve’s rap was really good, like something you could actually hear on the radio, and she should’ve been placed much higher. Her talent show performance, her lip sync, her outfits, her confessionals, just Lexi in general. Love, love, love Lexi Love. The second highlight was that ridiculous twist at the end. So stupid and it was hilarious to see all the queens shocked that no one was going home. No one goes home on the premier episode(s) anymore. Irene is the one recent exception and the show knew they made a mistake with the fan reaction her elimination got. One last thing, Michelle’s wig falling off in the tank… *chefs kiss*

It gets so boring until someone STELLAR AND PERFECT like Lexi comes along and switches it up! Also, the runways were so underwhelming- too many featureless padded asses. Not the best episode but I’m living for the Hormonaness of it all- the girls are angry!

2025-01-12 21:58:40 +0000 UTCI am a big defender of Acacia’s talent show performance, so Sam hyping up her “authentic country” number and then delivering *that* was a huge disappointment. A cowboy hat and Alabama ID does not authentic country make. Lydia continues to be a fave for ranking Sam last lmao Crystal’s performance was one of the mid-est talent numbers I’ve ever seen on the show. She wasn’t bad, but there was no emotion and the outfits were crunchy. I would have much rather had Kori in the top 2 with Lexi. That lip sync would have ate. Lexi continues to mother to unprecedented levels. She has such a refreshing energy (especially in confessionals) that feels pretty different from any other queen on the show. I remember having similar feelings about Mirage, but I trust that Lexi can and will make it further (but also justice for Mirage). And Suzie Toot continues to endear me way more than expected. Her runway was hilarious and such a fun twist on the theme. I did not expect her to be so at-the-center of the werkroom conversation at the top of the episode. She seems super confident in herself and her drag character despite being so young, and given that she does a style of drag that’s less conventional, I think that’s so admirable. End of yap. So far it seems like she’s just packed Trinity’s old pageant costumes for her package. Love for queens who recycle and reuse drag, but she could have modified the drags into a fresher take to fit her persona. Her talent gave toddlers and tiaras and I love it!

That being said, my fave runways were Lexi and Lana My 2 favorite talents were Lexi and Onya, but let’s be real Lexi was the best overall 👏🏼 standup should be banned from the talent show lol. I lived for Lexi and Crystal’s lipsync. And of course we can’t forget the new dunk tank- maybe the most elaborate production shenanigans we’ve seen yet. They said “RuPaul did in fact hand pick this queen, and she will NOT be the porkchop of this season” 😂 Sorry for the rambling lol 🖤
