Uhmmmm... Canada's wierd. Love the casting, great bunch of contestants. Super happy to see not only representation, but that having an older, seasoned, wise native POC transperson created actual intergenerational bonds, amazing and healing! The "competition" side of things... shrug... call me crazy but my favourites of the top 5 were Perla, Minhi and Helena - witty, funny performers who know who they are. Not to take anything away from the other two, Virgo deserved the win and blahblahblah... but the show structure (choices?) is off and leaves me 'meh'

Regardless, she’s definitely coming back to win a Canada vs. (or some other kind of All Stars) with a storyline that she’s grown and matured since this season.

I was shocked she lost the lip sync. I thought her look that episode was so creative. I think Makayla needed some more maturity to be on the show. I was rooting for her, but she was a YOUNG 21. She is a star, but being on the show is rough emotionally and she needed more time to grow up. I don’t think it ended up showing her in her best light. That was a bummer.

2025-01-18 16:14:32 +0000 UTCNgl the top 2 just felt... predetermined, the season had like 3 write your own verse challenges and they were pretty much the only ones these two excelled at, while Helena and Minhi did good every week. On top of that there being no rusical, makeover or roast as well just made the whole thing rather forgettable and one note... Perla and Jaylene were definitely the standouts though and I would LOVE to see more of them!

2025-01-18 08:46:05 +0000 UTCI really appreciate the production choices canada makes to be different: the golden & wooden beavers, designing a dress for brooke lynn, everyone getting a finale song - the execution is often rough, but i like that they mix things up so it doesn’t get boring like regular drag race with the same twists/formats over and over

Inevitably in any season across any franchise, the best parts are the individual queens, their talent, and points of view. I think Canada might do the best job of consistently giving space for us to learn about and appreciate them in a way that doesn't feel contrived, even if they go home earlier than we'd like. The "competition" might not have been built to showcase Jaylene in the strongest light, but she transcends the show and I'm glad people are gravitating toward her. I also really loved Sanjina and can't wait to see how she grows in the future.

I thought Perla’s finale look was the best, Jaylene winning congeniality was obvious, and I was impressed with Makayla’s headpiece staying on throughout the lip sync. I am happy that Virgo won but I’ve also kept in mind that I’ve read people saying on Twitter that it seemed like no one in the top 4 had winner material, would love to hear how you think of that. Overall not the best season of Canada but thank you Makayla and Xana for a good untucked episode. Ending with an obligatory cum
