2025-02-06 11:43:36 +0000 UTCI know it's "cool" to be cynical regarding production on Drag Race (and they've given us plenty of reasons to be), but it seems like the lever gimmick may have actually been on the level. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if they stressed the power of “Lucky number 7” to Hormona beforehand and left it up to the other queens to figure out what the other number would be. Overall, glad it didn’t stick around very long and we can officially start the competition.

She's a bisexual woman whose been in a relationship with another woman for over 20+ years, not too mention all the gay shit she's done! Now that my rent is out of the way, Joella's absence isn't as strongly felt that's to some business from the safe queens. I'm hoping to see an Onya/Suzie friendship going into the finale, with Lexi and maybe Sam along for the ride. Or Hormona so the girls can stay bothered

Like why are we doing Country for a song about “B*tch I’m from Chicago.” That one should have been a Rap battle and it could have been camped up with some West Side Story style fighting. As for the Runways… we have our undisputed Golden Boot this season for sure! Although I feel for Joella cuz I heard she wanted a reveal that never came through from the designer. At least she was memorable though, she certainly made great TV. RDR Live had better writing than previous seasons, but I think everyone could have brought more energy to their performances. Even the winner. The Runways for Ep. 5 were fun, but the girls reading Suzie and then not asking Kori which Drag Brunch she wore that outfit to was WILD lol

Suzie ATE based on presentation alone but you’re saying Arietty’s “showstopping” runway didn’t at least land her safe above Kori? I mean… anyways I think Joella can still make it top 3

If Instagram followers mean anything, Lexi Love, Arrietty, and Jewels Sparkles all have significantly more. Also, this season feels like season 11 deja vu (the cast is constantly fighting for no clear reason besides that they just hate each other + two clear frontrunners who are basically neck and neck). 2025-02-05 23:43:41 +0000 UTCI’m tired of hearing critiques at the wrong time or not hearing what’s obvious - why do we care if we can’t see joella’s face in that stitched look, it’s hilarious it doesn’t need to be anything else - tell arrietty her makeup is distracting when it actually is!! it didn’t work when she was dancing folklorico, but it’s fine when she’s just serving a look on the runway, so don’t tell her she looks bad then!! and why are we not telling suzie her regular mug is crazy?? - sam’s lesbian was not that bad and kori absolutely deserved to be in the bottom again, why did she just get a pass?? and lana could’ve easily been in the bottom and top in these eps but they seem to want to keep her safe for no reason??

2025-02-05 23:39:49 +0000 UTCThey've done RDR Live like 3 times now, and if you put a gun to my head and asked me to quote a single line, I'd say "I always knew it would end this way, Darby" I just don't think this is something they can make happen with these writers, they have decent settings like the cavepeople or the flood from S16, but then the prewritten jokes are just so flat Also I'm now a proud Tooter, I've literally been practicing sewing so I could eventually make the exact outfit Suzie wore for the pink runway, but she beat me to it

Say what you want about Ru but she appreciates a smart queen who's secure in herself and her abilities. This isn't to say she doesn't want polish but Ru is good at determining if a queen simply lacks resources or if a queen lacks taste.

Everyone was gagged that Crystal didn't win, but my fav part about Crystal was her being the tumbleweed. Onya ATE down and the girls really are pressed at her just doing well throughout the competition and being loved by the judges, I'm living. Lexi & Crystal prob had my fav quilted look. Arietty mad in untucked saying she won't be in the bottom again only for her to be eliminated then saved the very next ep sent me. Ep 5: I'm tired of RDR Live already I think lol I wish they'd let them think of the skits at least. Suzie ate down. I disagree with the top 3, I probs would've done Suzie, Jewels (Australian accents are so funny to me), & Acacia (she surprised me this ep and last ep). Onya did good, but nothing too funny imo, but the material itself wasnt the best. Jewels, Lexi & Lana had my fav runways. Everyone coming for Suzien in untucked was CRAZY. Like you can tell these girls are truly jealous & more delusional than Joella was. Lana saying she thought she should've been in the top over Suzie bc of Lana's look?!?!? The challenge imo, places the top/bottoms and the runway helps decide the winner and bottom 2. Placing someone in the top just bc of the runway is crazy. The only thing I'd change with Suzie's look is a diff pattern at somepoint in the body or a cut out, and cinched a little more. Lydia ATE DOWN. I was gagged at how great she was at the lipsync and how manic Arriety was during all that shit talking. Great TV, excited for the ball

Also rip slaysian diva of opulence 🙏 I actually really enjoyed rdr live this season! Sam being in the bottom made no sense though since (for me para me) the beaver podcast was the strongest overall sketch. Lydia on the other hand... oof that was rough 😔 Very happy that Arrietty was saved! Definitely would've missed her runways and her character on the show (but I'm also biased cuz she's my favorite).

2025-02-05 22:58:38 +0000 UTC-Episode 5 saw RuPaul saying “butthole” the most for the season, with 7 times (yes, I have kept track, because my autism likes history and numbers lol). -ep. 1 - 5x -ep. 2 - 1x -ep. 3 & 4 - 4x each -The SNL episode is always hard, sometimes even SNL sketches are a miss. I thought Onya was actually the true stand out, Suzie did great too -Onya and Crystal were fantastic in the commercials -Lexi love has already won in my heart

Lana and Arietty think they are doing something MAJOR on the runway but as ppl on the internet have pointed out: Sasha Colby, Nymphia, and Plastique have set the bar hella high. I prefer a cool concept over super structured “FASHUN”. Like idgaf. I want to feeeel something. And Suzie and Onya made me happy inside. Sure wish Onya could have made the high pony work for the runway tho. She said she had a malfunction before so that’s why she’s bald. I’m glad the talent girls are getting their flowers from the judges.

The pretty girls versus the funny girls, however where I think that season five did it significantly better. Smarter reads and much bigger characters. Also overall this season no longer feels like drag queens on a tv show and more so reality tv characters dressed in drag. Though Onya and Lexy are simply to die for.
