Watercolour Pencil WildCat

I adore European WildCats, my heritage is Scottish so I grew up knowing a Clan badge with a rampant wildcat on it so I'm sure that aiding my fascination with them.

So I did not take a photo when I transferred the line art with graphite paper to the illustration board.
I laid down a light wash in watercolour first then I built up the colours with the watercolour pencils. White highlights in the eyes and whiskers are done with derwent inktense white scribbled on some wood and I picked up with a brush and painted down.

I'm quite happy with this, board can take a few layers of colour so I didn't end up with the build up like I did with 'the king'

I don't know how long this took me as I worked on it in the late evenings when I was done with digital work and or bored with digital.
