It's not an uncommon for artists to have a tail fly. I'm on the fence if underwear has them or not but I went with it as IDK seems difficult to hold up otherwise. Funny tid bit did you know pants use to have adjustable gussets on the backs of them?(they pretty much look like tail holes) It wasn't till elastic waistbands were a thing did we completely do away with that.
