Yes there will be more about what he is, though not in this issue as Wild Autumn is shorter issues (17 pages) I will stress they have good reasons to be hostile towards Godkin, Nexum is exception to what is commonly known about them.

Will we be getting more info about his species/race later during the story? Pretty crazy that people would look down on a race related to gods. lol I wouldn't dare
