Well that brings us to a close of Chapter 3. I hope you enjoyed it. We maxed out at 212 pages in the end and probably close to 250+ renders.
As this is a pretty chunky update, chapter four will kick off in a couple of weeks. Are you looking forward to seeing what's in store for our girls in Chapter 4?

If your GPU has less than 8GB of VRAM, using Nvidia Iray might be challenging. Some artists opt for the 3Delight render engine instead, which can yield good results with less demand on your hardware, though it doesn’t achieve the same level of realism. I’m not as familiar with 3Delight, but I know it’s a more forgiving option for those with smaller GPUs. Setting up your scenes can be quite time-consuming. Creating environments and characters can take hours depending on how detailed you want to get. There are plenty of pre-built assets—characters, props, clothing, environments—that you can purchase and customize, which can save time but still requires effort to make them your own. The time to actually create and render a scene varies greatly. Simple scenes, like two characters having a conversation with a close-up camera, might take just 5-10 minutes to set up. On the other hand, more complex scenes, such as transformation sequences or scenes with intricate environments, can take much longer. Rendering time is another factor to consider. This largely depends on your hardware, the render engine you’re using, and the quality/resolution you’re aiming for. A lower-end GPU might take over an hour to render a single scene, whereas a high-end GPU like mine can do it in about 5-10 minutes, assuming the scene is well-optimized. Proper lighting setup is crucial here—poor lighting can drastically increase render times. In short, setting up a scene can be straightforward, but mastering elements like lighting, textures, and rendering can make the process much more complex. If you’re new to this, there might be a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, it’s incredibly rewarding to see your scenes come to life. Apologies if that’s long winded. Just want you to know what you’d be getting yourself into. 😁
