you were actually spot on when you talked about ribbons at the beginning. ribbons in this context is another name for the black strips in vhs tapes! so when she says "these ribbons wrap me up", it's like she's saying that the vhs tape or the "supercut" of her relationship with this person is all that's on her mind. she keeps replaying it over in her head, and that's why the ribbons wrap her up!
