Also, the girl in the video for Galway Girl is an Irish actress named Saoirse Ronan who also appeared in a Hozier music video for Cherry Wine.

2022-09-18 08:11:22 +0000 UTCI really liked your thoughts on "Galway Girl" and the Irishness that he uses. I would recommend an older band from here called The Cranberries. The lead singer (Dolores O' Riordan, no longer with us) had a technique with her voice called "keening" which made it sound wonderful.

I agree that New Man is probably the weakest song on Divide (I'm also not a massive fan of Shape of You), but overall I think it's Ed's best album, it's just banger after banger.
