All About Lurrrrve Leftover Millennials Ep. 12

Comments

I LOVE being able to see you two while you are speaking—it helps so much to see your body language, facial expressions, and reactions—LOVE it—BUT: it RUINS the visions I conjured in my mind during your audio-only podcasts of you both cackling around a glowing, bubbling cauldron for some reason (and in my mind it smelled sweet and pleasant too)… I know—likely just me—and I’ll definitely get over it!! šŸ˜‰ PLEASE do more episodes of Leftover Millennials with video though, seriously—I don’t know for sure but I do get a strong feeling that because you were both aware of the camera, you engaged with each other more and were more focused on really digging into the meat of the topics you discussed. Also: excellent work with choosing the Bell Hooks quotes Denny! The quotes you picked really set Khadija’s mind off like a firecracker (you had some excellent takes too Denny). And Khadija: terrific work opening up and sharing for the benefit of us all! I think you are both SO RIGHT: having close friends you can connect with and feel supported by and not judged by helps you express yourself and learn about yourself in a safe environment which is so helpful for growth and improvement—for yourselves and for others. ā¤ļø Also—it was great fun to see/virtually meet your brother Abdu, Khadija! He seems to have a very mellow spirit. 😊 Last thing: you 30-year-old young ā€˜uns are adorable. šŸ˜‰ I’m 47 and I’m not done growing and changing either—and I truly hope I never do. Honestly at 30 I was going through some šŸ’© and I didn’t have the time to sit back and think like I did when I turned 45 during the pandemic, and when I did then my eyes opened up SO MUCH—at 45—to SO MANY wonderful and hideous truths about myself and the world around me. So I don’t want to stop learning growing and changing, ever. Thank you both for your roles in helping me, and all of the rest of us out here living in the wacky world right along with you, to keep our mindwaves tuned!
