Comments

đŸ€” I re-read (and of course hearted) all comments here (including yours), and I honestly didn’t find any that were cringy, condescending, or even a little bit confusing—except for this comment. Your comment confused me Phelo. I want to be clear about where I’m coming from, since I can support and encourage others along with myself but I can speak for only myself. Kindness, support and encouragement of ANYONE, including YOU to YOURSELF, is a good thing, especially when the kind words and intentions are genuine, and especially when the person receiving praise works damn hard and isn’t even doing it for the main goal of receiving praise. I understand that many folks in general on social media have anonymous accounts, and because some folks are not presenting anything about themselves they can at times let their most base instincts take over. My own account is me though, through and through. My profile image—also me. I may look, behave and act differently from you and from others here, but that is one of the things I usually love most about Khadija and the audience she has built—they LIVE diversity and inclusivity. Khadija’s content focuses mostly on things that have impacted them and people most like them to be sure—and that is good—and these focuses are discussed with such depth that they usually touch a nerve in me: a cis, white, middle-aged gay man with real empathy who knows no one is, or will ever be, perfect—including me of course—but the effort to be better is ALWAYS worth it. I understand that some people post negative things to get a reaction sometimes, and I hope you understand people do respond to positive posts too, here and in other places. I want to be clear about one more thing too: Khadija has many fans who are also excellent YouTube creators (whom I also follow as soon as I hear about them in most cases—if you are one I’m definitely willing to check out your content). I understand that I am not a member of that specific group, however I openly support this channel, and I share my views on things because I want to show that openly (a stance I take about many things in my life these days—openness and honesty are my lifeblood any more). Believe me though, if Khadija ever f*cks up, especially significantly, I won’t be quiet about it, though this is a highly unlikely scenario based on this channels content over the years and if it did happen I’d be much more worried/concerned for them than offended/mad I’m sure. I enjoy showing support for someone whose work I not only thoroughly enjoy but feel I receive real benefit from. I wish the best for you too Phelo, and I can’t tell you how to interpret my words from your perspective, I can only share that my intentions of support are genuine. Do with those what you will. In the meantime I’ll be over here still being me and trying to improve, for myself and for those around me.

As a person who consumes a lot, that was a lot. From amazing childhood memories to cringy/condescending,confusing comments. To me this literally showed me that life waits for no man. When I have other words to artist what I’m trying to say will comment,it’s a lot
