Patron Update: Podcast, editing & more!
Added 2023-09-13 20:29:26 +0000 UTCHeya folks, it's been a minute since the last Patron update so I figured I'd go ahead and fill you all in on what's going on these days. Have you noticed that I've stopped using ominous titles for these?
First of all, I *just* finished wrapping up a podcast with the YouTubers 'I Finished A Video Game' and 'Sean Seanson'. I highly recommend checking out both, by the way (and I'm not just saying that - they make some amazing content). In the podcast we talked about Vagrant Story - our experiences, interpretations, themes, and it's impact - and other tangentially related topics. It was a lot of fun! It should be up shortly on IFAVG's Patreon, with an upload to his VOD channel shortly after. This upload will be freely available to everyone. He does a beautiful job of illustrating Yasumi Matsuno's career, the inner workings of Vagrant Story, and the legacy, if any, that it left behind. I cannot recommend it enough, it's top tier.
On the channel front, I am knee-deep in editing for the King's Field video. It's turned into quite a long project - at LEAST 3 hour & 20 minutes, beating Xenogears' record as my longest video. I've been working on it for months now, and I'm really happy with how it's turning out. I won't say release is imminent, but you can expect it within the next few weeks barring natural disaster.
It's also been a while since I've done a Majuularcade video. I'm probably going to wait until King's Field is out before dropping it. I'm trying to decide between a shorter-form audio review/discussion on either Vagrant Story or Final Fantasy 16, or some behind-the-scenes stuff for King's Field... or all of the above. Let me know if there's any relevant topics of interest to you, and I'll see about working them in.
