WEEKLY UPDATE #2: MICWIZARD AND CPU'S

hello patrons!

(please note that i don't balance frame data until AFTER everything is finished, so don't worry if some of the moves in the video scare you lol).

gonna be another fairly short update, but this week was pretty much entirely dedicated to micwizard! i got through most of his throws and grab animations (usually my least favorite thing to work on so i'm happy to get it done), as well as finished fleshing out the aerials and tilts. most of these attacks will look MUCH better with his cloak added, and tons of pretty visual effects, but i'm happy to get the skeletons done. the attacks are all functional and working in-game. this means only 6 more attacks to go before he's technically a fully playable character! i should only need 1 more week to get micwizard to a playable state for the next playtest :)) he won't be finished animation wise, but we'll use that playtest to balance the attacks and get him to a solid place in the roster.

admittedly i didn't finish as much as i usually do this week, but that's because a new puppy was introduced to our home and took away a bit of my time while adjusting. let's just say she would definitely main chronos.

while i worked on micwizard, david worked on the cpu scripts quite a bit! if you played our previous playtest, you'll know that our CPU's were barely even functional. i'm happy to report that they now can actually fight back, and don't kill themselves every time they're off stage. they also use their IMPACT attacks more appropriately and play neutral with a lot more purpose. for the next playtest, you should be able to actually fight the CPU's if you can't play online. thanks david!

that's it for this week! i'll be working more on micwizard, and i should hopefully have some VFX in the works for next week as well. next update should be a pretty one :)
