Piano impro #1
Added 2017-03-03 18:35:11 +0000 UTCI just found out I could easily record myself play the piano via USB key directly from the piano?? That's awesome! I've wanted to share little tunes with you for a while, so this is certainly handy.
Background: I had piano lessons for five years back when I was young (from like 8 to 13 years old) then continued playing on my own from music sheets I printed off my computer (*cough* final fantasy *cough*), then didn't play that much but still occasionally have fun with improvisation melodies like this one right here!
So there you are, just had fun recording this to test this recording system out, and for your enjoyment! :)

2017-07-04 15:01:42 +0000 UTCI took piano at around the same age range, then a few years of family shit hit the fan and I fell out of practice. I'm nowhere near as good as I was, but you've obviously been keeping at it (maybe a piano I can plug into the computer would encourage me to get back into it). Have you considered writing themes for your characters?

2017-03-04 10:26:06 +0000 UTCHey Chloe, you played that piano like a boss! I was thinking it would be cool to send some small jams. Like I can send some some piano or guitar and when you can some more piano, a jam session if you will! Only if you don't mind and have the time.

2017-03-04 03:58:46 +0000 UTCNow I have this image of Lillian & Roomie, locked in an embrace, moving in slow circles on top of a music box.

2017-03-03 20:08:52 +0000 UTCThat's what I mean about hearing well; it means you generate naturally-composed music by listening to what you are playing and responding to it! I know it's improvisation and not composed beforehand. That kind of listening and responding is the most useful of improvisational tools, whether playing by oneself or improvising with others!

2017-03-03 19:04:16 +0000 UTChaha, hearing "well-composed" when talking about my piano impro seems weird to me, as there is absolutely nothing composed in my mind when playing. But thanks a bunch!!

2017-03-03 18:53:38 +0000 UTCThis is a well-composed piece, Chloe, especially for an improvisation! There is so much I like about it: the sections make sense and hold together and flow together well, the playing is fluid and lovely! You seem to hear melody and harmony really well, and the emotional tone gets across, too! I look forward to hearing more!
