patreon declines

As the title suggests, it's not a fun post about fun stuff (next time I promise).

There's been a sudden drop just now on this Patreon's income (of about $200). And digging into it, there's been apparently almost 8% of payment declines, which might explain it.

Sometimes Patreon doesn't make it easy to pinpoint exactly what's going on (which is frustrating, because then I don't know how to fix it). But people have been telling me declines have been getting worse ever since Patreon moved in August, so while that doesn't help much at least I'm not alone in this (yay???)

Anyway, make sure to check your payment method to see if there wasn't a decline somewhere, if you could! Thank you!!

Edit: I've also just enabled the "charge up front" feature that Patreon added a few months back. It makes it so that new Patrons are charged their pledge immediately once they become Patron instead of waiting at the end of the month.
I initially didn't care to enable this feature because I trusted Patrons to be (in the grand scheme) honest about supporting artists you enjoy. Unfortunately, there has been people taking advantage of that, in ways that I can't overlook anymore.
It doesn't change anything for you since you've already pledged, and if it does, do let me know!
