Have a Slice- in pyjama and glasses

This happened sometime last summer, and I drew it out about two months ago?

I think I moved past it since then, but at that moment I did think about it often. How can you protect someone who refuses help? What could you have done even if they had accepted the help, in front of someone who seemed to be ready to hit hard, when no one else was around that night? Thoughts and questions, and no one answer.

I'll continue practicing Systema just in case :>

Lots of love, and take care!

PS: this being my personal experience, I do realize that there are many, many ways these sorts of scenarios can go, and sometimes it is probably *not* advised to go outside and check it out yourself without calling the police first. This is not, in any way, some kind of DIY tutorial ;)

Wow. I don't think I have the guts for something like this. I suppose I would have called the cops right away. I mean, it's their job to protect people, right? But you never how the story would have ended in that case... There was this case in the news recently (I think it was in Germany) where the situation was so dire that the victim called the cops herself, and they simply refused to come, claiming the case wasn't "important enough" and she should deal with it herself. It ended with the woman getting beaten to death by her abuser.

That's heavy. If you're REALLY SUPER concerned and don't mind meddling and have lots of time on your hands, you can just watch and listen for if anything really goes downhill to the point where the police clearly should be called. It's tough for anyone to spare that kind of physical/mental/emotional energy though.

That was really brave - and no, I don’t think you could have done more. Sadly enough.
