I like the way I drew Noëlle here. Among all the main characters, she's the one that I had the most trouble with in pinpointing her design and overall character traits. It's like I'm finally getting to know her!
There's always one or two characters that are more difficult to "understand", when I write comics. Sometimes it changes too, as the years go. One character I really like for a few years become less of a favorite after a while, only to return later on. (right now I'm thinking of Annùn and Sinaj from Headless Bliss, since it's been a comic I've had in my head for so long, way before the webcomic started. They switched places in term of "favorites" a few times!)
I think it all has to do with our own personal evolution through the years. There are character traits we understand best at certain points of our lives because we're living them more strongly, and then other periods they become more mundane, or we've grown past them, or we regard them in a more critical way.
I love seeing how these things change and how much it can say about us! All art is so intimately connected to its artist, whether they want it or not.
