Google gave me some Aussie slang for certain things one of my characters was looking at and commenting upon. Thought it was a great expression! And...I have found many people are not familiar with the term not because of the meaning of the expression, but because they don't know what a 'budgie' is! To most Americans, it's 'Parakeet' all the way.
