Slowly getting back on track. Slowly. My goal for this year is to get into the best shape of my life. I don’t really like sharing my goals, I’d rather put my head down and get to work but I’ll put it out there. My head isn’t fully in it yet but that’s ok. From my experience, you show up each day, do what you can, and work towards it little by little. Improving your process and setting yourself up for success.
I know my weaknesses. I have too much going on and I’m not structuring my days enough. My sleep holds me back constantly. It’s always been my biggest weakness. And I miss meals. Once in the gym I can do pretty decent but all this other stuff while at home hurts me and my overall progress. So I’m going to work on those elements. And see, not everything you are doing wrong is in the gym. Often it’s an overall lifestyle issue.
And so, I’m 6’2, 210 pounds. I want to get to 215, muscle not fat add some strength and lean out a little. It’s not a huge goal but at my size, age, time I’ve been training and not taking steroids or anything like that. These little numbers are big.
A big part of it is the mental game. When it gets to much it’s easy to say “well this isn’t worth it anyway”. But then why do I care and have been doing this for the past 10 years? And you know you have the time and energy to do better if you get your shit in order. So it’s the constant mind games at work that is another level to it.
Anyway, I’ll stop rambling! I got some good questions on IG about fitness and I think I’m going to do a YouTube video with them, Q&A style. So if y’all have any questions let me know!
