Detailed Weekly Update - December 1, 2024

Hello, revengers! Another week, another update.

This week I’ve finally managed to get my shit together. And I finally know why I had problems writing this part. I felt things were moving a bit too fast, but I’ve made sure to allow the player to decide, while asking their favorite RO out, if they want to tell their RO that they might be starting to get feelings for their choice of date. Of course, you’re just saying this, it doesn’t mean you actually have to feel anything.

This way the hoco-proposal can also be a friendly thing or a potential romance-building thing. Either way, making things a bit more clear allowed me to get my flow back.

I’ve finished Dylan’s private proposal, and started on Olivia’s. After Cecily’s, I’ll go back to the public one for Connor.

There's also a new secret stat! Hurray! Which keeps track of the moments where you kinda make your romantic feelings known to the ROs. This won't stick you on their "romance" path or whatever, it just keeps track of the fact that they think you're into them.

• Finished Dylan private hoco-proposal

• Started Olivia private hoco-proposal

• Added “romance” stat which will keep track of potential confession of building feelings for your chosen hoco-date

I’ve also made various changes to the previous chapters. One of the first ones is that, since you can now select your sexuality from ch 2, it would make sense for the narrator to actually react properly to the flirts of some of the characters. I haven't done this everywhere where I should, but I'll make sure to tell the player that yes, you should feel uncomfortable with Isaac flirting with you if you aren't into men.

This is a bit spoilery, so skip if you don't wanna hear it, but Cecily now has a "trust" stat. Since her inner circle is so important to her, I've come to the conclusion that her liking you isn't enough to be nice to you. She also needs to trust you based on the way you act. So now you also have to fear that, even though she likes you, she might not trust you.

I’m also thinking of completely killing the “clothes” choice, since I’m not really that passionate when it comes to the subject, which kinda means I won’t know how to write something that’s actually interesting. I might just create the occasional clothes choice for big events, but that’s that.

The demo for this month is coming in a bit, and I've decided to allow you guys to play around with the homecoming proposals. I'm curious to see what you have to say about them. I have to mention they're still very buggy!
