WWE touts success of Payback (including actual attendance figure)
Added 2023-09-05 19:27:56 +0000 UTCWWE announced that Payback had 12,468 in attendance and that it also became the highest-grossing WWE event ever held in Pittsburgh, which is easy to believe as it was nearly a complete sell out and with the way they strategically price most current events, they've been breaking a lot of gate records in other cities. This figure is lower than the announced attendance of 14,584 but we all know by now the announced numbers are always higher and for entertainment purposes. My final tally for this was 13,014 (which would suggest a comp rate of 4.1% not figuring in suites; if suites were included in the paid figure then the comp rate would be higher). I assume the 12,468 figure given below is a paid number. Maybe Pollstar will release some numbers about this in the future and if so I'll come back to this post.
