Unfortunately it’s probably too late for that, unless they decide to curt JaVale or Zaza last minute

Warriors just have the homerun ball mentality. Which is not bad because most of the times it works but you’ll always have a errant cross court pass from Dray. At least 1 a game.
I’m sure they’ll tighten down in the playoffs but they’ll still commit turnovers. It’s in their DNA

I'm surprised Nick Young had the best plus-minus on the floor last night. He only had 3/8 shooting (2/5 from 3). The eye test said he wasn't helping us a lot. Plus-minus can be very noisy. Maybe it was just a fluke. Also, our 3 all-stars committed 11 of our 13 turnovers. Against the Kings our all-stars committed 7 of our 11 turnovers. ISTM when we get Curry back, we'll go back to over 15 TOs per game. So many turnovers could hurt our chances in the playoffs.

Yall see OKC storm off after the buzzer and not talk to anyone? Led by the coach? Bunch of cupcakes.

I didn't think he would be ready but Jones may become a serious factor for us in the playoffs. The reason I say this is bc he has clearly developed his defensive fundamentals. The advantage he has over Zaza and Javale is that he can defend on the perimeter and also defend PnR much better than they can. He doesn't need to have to do much on offense bc simply the threat of him catching lobs or passes in the paint for easy dunks will force teams to defend him honestly. It's obvious that the Santa Cruz coaches have done a great job developing this kid. Now it's gonna pay off for us in a big way.

love that bit on Adams wrapping up KD instead of a hard foul. I love Adams as a player.

Well also the Warriors have a well worn habit of always putting the ball in Steph's hands and Steph is really good at being able to get it and force the foul/protect the ball so maybe we cut a little slack there.

Alchemy, at the end of the game, when you felt Kerr should have called a timeout, what's your take on the idea that Kerr kinda leaves them out to dry/figure it out themselves? This game was really for pride and at most, to make a statement to a potential playoff opponent, so why not let them scramble at the end like that?

This game was a great way to cap off the birthday. Great Analysis! I was very pleased with Damian Jones.. I never realized how big he was until i saw him guarding Adams..Dude is stacked *pause*

AA You have been pumping for Damian forever and I have been thinking the same, I was actually worried that he had some issue that we didn't know about that was keeping him off the floor. Now you see his value, stronger and faster than Javale, and I did notice the D as you pointed out. Here is another thing I like about Damian, watch his screens when compared to Javale. Javale fakes a screen but doesn't like the contact, just wants to roll to the Rack. I hate guys that think the main point of a pick is for them to get a step on the guy. Damian sets the screen frees the shooter then rolls. Think free the shooter first, then roll, it's usually still there. And Damian is much more active around the hoop for boards than Javale. He just needs more experience to know where to go.

So Alch, with the playoffs just around the corner, who's lunch do you think GSW can eat easiest? Who do the Dubs want to see in the 1st round?

I think Kerr & co. see Zaza as a body blow they can throw early--as in a fighter throwing a lot of body shots in the early rounds. They don't look like much, but the toll they take starts to show later when they switch to the head.

Zaza will come in handy when we need a big body in the paint. Dude fouls hard, which isn't a skill to be underappreciated

i'm just not sure how much we will need Zaza in these playoffs. If Damian can continue to play as he did and work some of those nerves out, I don't see a situation where Zaza would be our best option. Javale's catch radius is just insane, and that alone makes him stand out, but as you mentioned he's really been working on that defense, and that makes his presence as a shot blocker good for us. David West has enough IQ to make the passes that Zaza does, but he can also knock down that mid rage jumper consistently, which is huge for us. If Damian is able to be that big body that cant be backed down and can go toe to toe with some of these bigger centers, the only place I can see Zaza having unrivaled skill is with his screens. However, it still doesn't help to much since he's not reliable on the roll, It'll just depend on how Damian preforms these next couple games, people go at Zaza and he gets torched, lets see if Damian is different.

Nice long set of play highlights, this game was deserving of that, good choice AA. D Jones looks like he's about ready to give us all the upside of Javale (vertical finishes, blocks, speed for a big man, good up and down the floor) with much better ability to defend both on the block and perimeter. Twice in that second half Jones picked up Russ off a switch and kept Russ from turning the corner and made Russ kick it out so.....I believe you say "Yahoo" (free FO4 humor).

Donovan is a good X's and O's coach, but he's not great at rotations or reigning in the team.
