Yeah if it goes 7 now that would mean something went wrong. Definitely think they get 1 maybe 2. I just didn’t think Dray would get the better of AD like he has!

Athletic Alchemy

Alch, Has your Warriors in 7 prediction changed? Maybe Warriors in 4 or 5?

SunniDaZambi

Damn Alc. I've been following you for awhile but this breakdown was outstanding. Hitting details AND pointing out the important threads of the series. Props for all you do. Also, bonus points for the C Webb line.

Thanks!

Athletic Alchemy

He just might! Tho FMVP’s are very star driven.

Athletic Alchemy

Looking like he’s had a mini offseason, he will easily be the freshest star come June. Your right this could be his playoff run where he puts himself firmly amongst the All time greats. Not saying he isn’t now. But he is not a consensus, especially amongst his peers.

Athletic Alchemy

"Slim slip and slide to the rim for a slam". Nice alliteration. Haha. Great shit as always Alchemy!

Kyle Walker

Pelicans to stop fastbreaks or whenever they get beat by their guy. They fouled the hell out of the blazers and it wasn't call. Warriors don't flop a lot and the refs don't tend to like us so if they are blowing the whistle its because we deserve it. Anthony Davis either dunks or take a jump shot how can they call a foul for that.

I get that the Dubs have been on the crap end of a LOT of officiating, and I do feel like a lot of the calls were earned. However, I really don't like the look of unbalanced officiating. I do think that Davis deserves more calls going his direction (at least as an MVP caliber player), and the officials have not called a lot at all for the Pels this series. It troubles me because many of the calls the Dubs have gotten during this series they NEVER get against bigger market teams. I think its crap (should it be the case) that the league finds it necessary to help the Dubs against the Pels. It should be a fair fight, especially for a team like the Pel, who I think have a great team, great system, and great players who are not little bitches (a lot like our Dubs). I say a lot of this only because I know the Dubs will get shafted should they make it to play the Rockets, the Cavs, or the Celtics.

Great clip Alch. if our boy Dray keep playing like this, he gonna be the FMVP... also, i smell a sweep coming.

"just like your girl's selfies, it's all about the angles." Boom

I truly believe that if Curry had been healthy all season, he'd win the MVP. The numbers all point to Curry being as good and even better than he was in his unanimous MVP year. He's got that same confidence, swagger, and joy. During the 2016 playoffs, the world didn't get to see Curry play at that MVP level bc of his injury. They didn't see the unanimous MVP Curry. I think Curry wants to make sure they all see him play at his highest level this time around. To not play in more than 50 days and play like that right off the bat is ridiculous. I can't remember the last time he even had an average game. He's in the prime of his career and at the very top of his game right now and he's going to show the world that he's one of the greatest to ever play.

I don't think the effort dropped as much as you think so much as the effort tripled from pelicans, that multiplied by the pace and their heads we spinning. and then it just compounded as the game went on. If your mind not clear and understanding the speed of everything you appear to move slower. I just don't think they were prepared for that. It did drop some, I just don't think it was 25%. Also, I think your making to much out of the dray and AD roll up. They got tangled in the air, which was mostly Draymond, I'll give you that, but when dray stood up his arm was between AD legs and whennAD rolled over, it forced draybwith him, Dray prolly thought he did it on purpose in the moment. The push at the end was unnecessary but I think it's a whole lot of nothing except physical bball that got two players boxing out tangled up. Dray reputation makes it appear worse than it was. Any other player and that wouldn't be given a second thought. And harden and cp3 do cheap shit worse than that and noone says a thing. I think Gentry 1 st half game plan was genius. They moved the ball faster than half their team, so only 2-3 guys were really running a fast pace. This lead to a bunch of 2 on 2 and 3 on 3 opportunities. Attacking in that situation allows you to not only get easier drives with no shot blockers and wide open shots, you get more shots up per game, and half your team is still in the back court to stop dubs transition attack on missed baskets. Noone has tried that philosophy and I think it could work if you keep it up for a whole game and you have good 1 on 1 scorers, and a good decision maker. It's a whole lot easier to score in the paint when its 2 on 2 rather than 5 on 5. There is draw backs, but it's a genius out of the box game plan, I think you could steal a game or 2, and maybe a series if you got some time to draw up some 2 and 3 man plays with rondo jrue and etwaun. Gentry got that Don Nelson, beautiful mind type of offensive brain. Better scoring opportunities and you can stop scoring runs in transition which GS usually goes game open with because their set defense is so good at causing havoc. Straight genius.

The whistle was a bit out-of-balance, but agreed that the W's being the aggressor helped with that. Could you imagine if AD played with even 1/2 of Draymond's intensity? Dude would be unstoppable.

Matt M.

I see what you're talking about. maybe AD didn't quite land underneath Steph, but around him--and Steph was slightly flopping? or maybe the refs weren't going to call a foul to end the half (just like at the end of the game). you can see Steph arguing with the ref, but possibly more about the push he received from Jrue while going around the screen.

creuset

Isn't that a foul at 7:19 by AD on Steph? I'm genuinely confused as to what constitutes a foul in this situation, because I see that called in some cases, but not others.

right you saw it too then..I spoke on it in my first take vid.

Athletic Alchemy

Only the Rockets play hella slow, it is mimicking the Cappella rim roll with AD a bit.

Athletic Alchemy

Were well into the playoffs I'm not pulling any punches!

Athletic Alchemy

Disgusted with this damn game, I slept so mad. Everytime steph comes back the effort drops from 100 to 75% for everyone except Draymond.

We have had some luck with the set up for the Rockets. Spurs series got Warriors defense activated, they forced the Warriors to dig down and defend because the Spurs do. The Pelicans are helping us because they are forcing us to content with and respond with fast tempo basketball which the Warriors will need against the Rockets. My only concern is will Steve come to his senses regarding Nick Young but perhaps that will be solved as Steph assumes a place in the starting lineup.

Steven Stanley

Damn you were super harsh on swaggy haha. I know he hasn't panned out but damn, you ethered that man

Nice, in depth video! Favorite video game taunt button? Sure...it's 4-D Sport Boxing!
