Hi Megan, just stopping by to say that as someone that has used an A5 cousin all year so far I definitely wish I had gone with the avec this year. I am HATING writing in my book with all my bulk from the year so far so that’s why I went with the avec for next year. As much as I really loved some of the HON covers the bulk is a BIG downside to them and I will not be doing this to myself ever again lol. I’m just trying to persevere for 3 more months 😭😭😭

2023-09-29 18:45:14 +0000 UTCReally excited for you with your planning setup next year, it's been so lovely seeing you trying out the different approaches this year and taking forwards what you've learned from each experiment! I'm planning on getting my own notebooks printed for next year (and will end up spreading across 2025 too if i go ahead due to print batch size!) BUT that will depend if i like the proof once i uhh finish the design and order one :P But planning on an a4 book, 2 months per book, with monthly spreads, monthly future log, tracking pages, notes pages, vertical weekly spreads for to-dos, and horizontal weekly spreads for daily reflections/trackers! Didn't really get on that well with the a5 cousin avec this year - not enough room for me, as I like sticking lots of stuff in and there just aren't enough blank pages to collect all my things in! But still will complete them (1st six months was already done at the expected date and does look cute!) and got the hobonichi itch out of my system at least :P Just wish they made an avec in an a4 size as i would be there in a second!!!

2023-09-29 07:14:08 +0000 UTCah nice video!! i am also going to try the hobonichi cousin for the first time in 2024 im a little nervous hehe! ive been using the weeks this year and Loving it but im really feeling the lack of space for writing, and like you i find i do much better if my planning and journaling is in the same place!! i used a techo in 2021 but kind of hated it skdjdj i found the size of it super weird to use so hopefully! some more luck next year! it was interesting seeing how u r laying our th cousin pages also, that amount of space can be a bit daunting so i will also try segmenting it a bit! hope u feel better soon! :3

I'll also be trying the Hobonichi cousin next year, it will be my first ever hobo... until then I actually drafted out the system in a moleskine notebook and am trying the setup in that, just to make sure before I order... 2023-09-28 18:45:30 +0000 UTCI love that you took the year to explore your journaling preference because I’ve also been doing the same thing and trying the same system/products 😂 my preference was also the Hobonichi Techo at the start of 2023 and I’ve also reached the conclusion I’ll be taking on the challenge of filling my 2024 start to finish as I have a lot of upcoming travels planned for next year I’m really excited about! 😄 so happy to be on the same page as my favorite online journaler
